According to the New York Daily News (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/2008/04/27/2008-04-27_sources_roger_clemens_had_10year_fling_w.html), Roger Clemens had a 10-year-long affair with country singer Mindy McReady, beginning when she was 15. McReady didn't know Clemens was married until she read his bio at a game she was attending.
cue Strassy joke
Strassy would never let a fling last until she was 25.
Goodness...

And now he had relations with John Daly's ex-wife. Clemens got around. What a scumbag lying POS
Didn't Canseco once say that of all the MLBers he knew, Clemens was the only one that didn't cheat on his wife? I guess there isn't much hope for MLB wives at all.
Figured this was as good a Clemens thread to bump as any.
Following in the footsteps of his comments on Pete Rose, the president of the United States has demanded that Roger Clemens be inducted into the Hall of Fame, apparently because he had a good time golfing with him.

Just reading that makes my head hurt
by a lot!
Does Trump realize Clemens isn't banned like Rose was? Several juicers are in the Hall. Bonds, Clemens, and Schilling aren't in the Hall of Fame because they were assholes.
I for one am waiting for him to take a pro-Sosa position

Somehow I think he's more likely to wind up involved with this Sosa than Sammy

I'm of the opinion that Bonds and Clemens' omissions are far more because of "juicer" than "asshole" - lots of guys were dicks to the press and still made it in, and guys like McGwire and A-Rod are in that same boat. Schilling is a special case as an open Nazi.
The trick to being a juicer and making the Hall of Fame is to A) not get suspended and B) not break/threaten records. Hitting more than 60 homers was flying too close to the sun.
With that said, these guys being assholes is a tiebreaker for someone not to vote for them. Piazza was fairly likable and was suspected to have juiced and got plenty of votes

Also to smile and give expletive laden speeches after terror attacks.
Speaking of a-holes in the hof, remember when Roberto Alomar spit on an ump? lol.
Ty Cobb went into the stands and beat up a disabled man! (in fairness, the guy was a racist) (so was Cobb)
Speaking of which, supposedly while Cobb was beating that guy, someone yelled "he has no hands!" and Cobb replied "I don't care if he has no feet!" Why did that matter? Would it have been even worse to beat a footless man than it was to beat a handless man?

Ahhh. Simpler times when that was the worst thing he did.
