Any Arcade players ever notice that the "screen name" for Ashby is HAshby.  For the NES it is just Ashby.  Seems like some programmer decided to have a good laugh, I can see no other reason for the H"\.

Maybe they are trying to imply that you'd have to be smoking hash to leave his slow, non hitting ass in the game.  ;D
