Title: Jamie Accepts Challenge and Goes Down Kicking
Post by: Vitb6 on 02/03/02, 09:07:22 AM
As you all know by now I (Jason) challenged the great and heightened Lipitz to a best of three RBI challenge.  Well the games were played yesterday.  Since Lips posted his demolition against KillSpilman I thought I'd return the favor.

The series was a best-of-three with alternating first pick of teams decided by a rock, paper, scissors.  Jamie won the rock paper scissors and selected Detroit, I followed suit by picking Cali.  Well the first game was not a good game for Cali as Lipitz slaughtered me like 15-4 or something like that.  The second game I picked Detroit and Lips picked Boston.  I got out to an early
12-1 lead in the fourth just to have Lipitz come back to lose 13-11.  It was a valiant comeback but just not enough firepower.  So going into the deciding game Jamie once again picked Detroit and this time I took Boston.  This game was a massacre of gigantic proportions as Jamie found himself down by 10+ runs in 3 different innings only to score a run or two in the bottom half of the innings to prolong defeat.  In the end, Boston won with a final score of 17-9.  I want to thank Lips for accepting the challenge and losing with grace and class.

As a side note I played KillSpilman prior to Jamie and Potsie one game about 3 hours post Jamie challenge and beat them badly as well.  As I run my record to 7-1 in my last eight.  The VitB6 train keeps on rollin'.

CHOO-CHOO

I haven't had to endure ten games of RBI in a span of about four hours in a very long time, if ever.

Today, I'm feeling fresh, and your record-o-shit (averaging 4-6 center field homers a game, Mr. Assy John Lockhart) will come to an end.  Come on over...

VitB6  (aka Jason) is becoming a serious competitor.  He always has the Detroit technique down, and could be big trouble if he can master Boston...

I'll be watching, lets see if Lips can redeem himself...

Just to add to the Sunday RBI updates, I took two from Potsie in our "Minor League" matches -  a 6-5 extra-innings thriller with Houston over the Mets and an 11-5 drubbing with St. Louis over Minnesota....

Jim Lindeman is the man, I need to find a way to get him on my top 5 pinch hitter list...

It's official...I suck!!!!

Lost 2-1 again to Jason in a three game series, yet I'll never admit Jason is playing better.  Why?  Because he's not, but things are falling his way this week...

Congrats, Mr. Lockhart, you're the best!!!!

For those who cannot tell, Lips does not take losing very well.  He's a bitter, bitter man....

That's two in a row for the VitB6 train.  Once again Lips went down in a 2-1 Thrilla.  The first game was close 15-12 me.  Then Lips won the 2nd.  The third a final game was an all-out slaughter 17-15 in 5 innings.  Here I am and I'm here to stay.

That should be 17-5 not 17-15.

Hey you can't give all the credit to jason...

Killspilman wore jamie out that day, to set up the wins for Vitb6.  The Newcomers have to work as a team to take down the veterans...  If I must sacrifice my team for the greater cause then I will take that challange.

Yes I did lose against Houston, and proud of it.

And lets not forget, had you finished the series against Lips instead of giving up, Lips probably would have been content with his victory and not even played Jason.  It's all you baby, all you...

If you've been checking the other posts, there's gonna be some comp for picking Houston.  They've suddenly become the Team to Be...

You'll never last a series, killspilman.  You're always thinking about food, and if it's not the food...it's the heartburn that follows.

Bring your Bo-Sox back to the Dee-Nee house.  But seriously...before you come back, buy some Tums or Pepto or whatever you need and let's see if you could last a seven game series without any interruptions.  I know you're craving the Ho-Train...  And if you want to have a real fun time, let's play Death!!  Or are you too afraid of the Houston Granny?

And about you and Jason bringing me down.  Go ahead and do it while you still can, it's all about peaking at the right time (in April)...and this year will be different.  2K2 is looking bright, and I'll get the hang-ups out of my system by the tourney.  Plus, I still have a couple months left to find the tourney-wear.  Tourney-wear is key -- I'll have to find something dee-nee-licious this year.  Definitely!!

So...killspilman, find an excuse for the "Bang"ster, get your butt over to our place, and prepare for the Ho-Train!!

I would like to send out my deepest thanks to KillSpilman for the dedication he put towards wearing Lips down and allowing me to kick his ass in 2 straight two-out-three series!  Thanks KillSpilman.  I know RBI is a brutal and grueling "sport".  The energy expelled is remarkable and if it wasn't for Lips sweating through a thousand games prior to mine, he probably would have won.  OH BUT WAIT...if my memory serves me correctly...the 2nd two-out-of-three series that I won, Lips didn't play RBI prior to that.  And he was fresh and thirsty for victory.  Oh well, it was a nice idea.  To the victor go the spoils.
