I'm just trying to gauge interest before I devote some time to this.
I'm thinking rules would be pretty standard, more details later.
Have one round per week. If your opponent doesn't reply to messages to set up an appt. for game time by Weds, they forfeit. If they don't make the scheduled time, they forfeit. You may get another stood up player as an opponent... more details to come.
I'd make a bracket thread and update the brackets as the games progressed.
Gambling is ENCOURAGED! highly frowned upon...
I would like to be in tourney.
I got my USB NES controller, I got my ROMs...I am willing to participate.
I'd be interested if we can find an emulator (??) with zero lag.
... unless of course you are doing a straight pitch (A button only...no arrows on pitches) tourney.
If there is no lag, then I am up for anything.
I'm in
ill def do a straight pitch tourney.
seed me as last.
I'll do a straight pitch, seed me second overall.
I'll play, assuming there's little or no lag.
I use Nestopia 1.36 and lag is very minimal, except on occasion... but that's when it's my connection and not the rom/emulator's fault.
WARNIG to all those about to play straight pitch that are not used to doing so. you will probably fall asleep during the first game. straight pitch is insanely boring

But with lag, ATG is impossible.
You might as well just flip a coin to decide if you will swing or not.

Why do you assume lag? I've played a lot of ATG online and lag's only been a problem a few times. Granted, when it is a problem it does kill the game, but that's less than 10% of the games I've played.
You either need a new emulator, a new computer, or better internet service.

I am not arguing against my PC being a possible problem.
However, as much as I like RBI, I am not going to spend a grand to play it.

Blasphemy!
Just kidding, I agree with that. $950 maybe, but not $1000.
I'm interested in playing and have started playing the computer on nestopia. I have a mac so not sure what I will need at this point. Have not played online before so not sure what to do at this point.
