Happy 44th to Tony!  Discuss Gwynn the RBI'er, Hitter, Person, Analyst...

Tony Gwynn was the starting point guard for the University of San Diego.  That's impressive.  I've never seen a 300 pound point guard before.  ;)

Yeah he was supposed to be a beast on the court back in the day.  I think I saw somewhere that he was their all time assist leader and drafted by the Clippers in like the 10th round.  Which isn't saying much considering they only have 2 rounds now but still pretty cool.

It's probably been posted before but he's now the head baseball coach at SDSU.

Hey, I went to SDSU!  Wait, not that SDSU...

Happy B-day to Gwynn, regardless.  He's always been one of my favorite players, moreso in real life than in RBI, though.

Does Gwynn still do work for ESPN?

I'm fairly sure he is still working for ESPN. He is still managing at SDSU, maybe once their season is over he gets more time in at ESPN.
