Small Update:

---

Happy belated RBI Birthday to Kevin Bass, who turned 45 yesterday. We all wish he could live up to his lofty numbers in RBI, but congrats nonetheless...

Added what is hopefully the first of many questions to the RBI Baseball FAQ - What players have the best fielding arm? Hopefully this will debunk some people insistance on fielders having individual throwing stats...

Two more records added to the Reviews Page - The Psychadelic Furs and Strike Under. Almost halfway with the current stack, never thought I'd get that far...

I throw better from left field.

Interesting...  But the fact remains

I agree about the outfield throws.  Alot of the time it seems like the left fielder has a cannon but i think it;s just because it's a better angle to get a good throw.

I think it's all in pressing A and the Direction you want to throw it in at the same time.

Agreed, the timing of the buttons is the prime factor.  I'll have to pay more attention to left, but the fact remains that there are no "good" or "bad" arms, they are all the same...

I'm still convinced that, outside of the manual, nobody actually plays a position.  All fielders are generic players, nobody plays a position or has defensive abilities.  They are all the same.  Still some testing to be done with fielder speed, but I still think that's the truth...

I think you're right about no one really having a position.  But there are times I wonder about it.  Like every time I play with the Tigers and Trammell boots a couple of balls a game.
Good throws are all about the button timing.  I really think this takes years to truly master.  Not many can do it every time.  I'll go entire games where I'm throwing lobs.
I hate slumps.  All kinds of them.  Throwing, batting, sex.

I'm going to stay from the sex part...

But it's all a matter of timing.  I say this now, but once you get in that RBI rut, sometimes you have to cross Hell-And-Back to regain your step.  It only takes one inning to get that groove back...

Yes...which is exactly why people can get away with Tony Armas or Dave Henderson at SS...and McGwire at 2b.

I'll take your guys' word on this, but I still think Dawson and Flood can throw like no other....potatoes also has a cannon.  But then again...I never let Flood hit...I'm confused. ???
