I wish I could post more choices.  To me, these are the 8 best out there

I like Nolan Ryan.  Great speed, decent curve and great stanima.  I have never been a fan of Berenguer.  I think he's probably more effective in straight pitch than in curve.

You should probably nix Beringuer and add an "Other" category.  He's the only sub on that list and I don't see anyone voting for him...

My pick for best pitcher is Bert Blyleven, who isn't on the list - great movement and great stamina...

I like juan's heat but you're right.  Bert Blyleven is the better pitcher

Vote is in for Bertus...

The newer version of this forum software is coming out shortly, I'll be we'll be able to add more entries to the poll.  I can hand-edit the source (like nightwulf did for the extended categories) but it's not worth it since I will be upgrading...

I know there are some Tudor fans on here as well, he's another guy who may get some write-ins

I'm a huge fan of Krukow...but Clemens is my favorite from the list provided.

Since we usually play Curve, 1- Starter, I'd have to go with Blyleven, his huge Stamina advantage is big with 1 Starter.

Playing with 2 starters, stamina isn't as important, speed I think is somewhat more important, I'd go with Ryan or Clemens.

Johnny Tudor is the fucking man.  He's my favorite by far.  Doc comes in second.

It's all about Dr. K, the guy is a monster. The guy has a great fastball, a great curve, and enough stamina to keep lighting it up deep into the game.

I love that nickname.  Anytime you can use the word splooge, it's definitely an added bonus.

I had to go with Clemens and the Ryan Express a close 2nd.  For straight pitch, you need someone with a good heater because changing speeds is the only way to throw off the hitter.  Stamina is also important.

Ok I'll add Krukow.  I'm gonna leave 7 as 'Other'

It's the Mets' pitching that keeps them competitive in curve style. Dr. K is a big part of that. Facing him 3 times in a 5 games series is never an appetizing thought for me.

I went with Krukow, because I have the hardest time hitting him when playing human or computer opponents.  Love pitching with him, hate facing him

saberhagen drops down and is nasty with the slider/curve
