Title: Home field advantage in RBI? Yay or Nay?

I think it matters most in how you approach pitching.

Being the road team means that you already know in the bottom of each inning what the opposition went thru on the mound.  The "arms race" as i call it is usually pretty crucial to win especially down the stretch when the relievers are brought in.

Being the Home squad, you can set the pace with your pitchers(in the top half) and put the pressure on the opponent to keep up.  You also have a slight but realistic strategical advantage batting last as you know whether or not to bunt a guy over or whatever in an effort to try and manufacture a run.

thoughts on if it matters or not?

Home, every time.  There's no reason to want to bat first.

If I played staight pitch on the arcade, then I'd prefer Road team, for all other instances, home

I think that the pitching is where it matters most...the "arms race" is a good way to put it...it just helps to know when the right time to pinch hit or be able to send the guy out there for another inning...especially when not playing straight pitch...when playing curve, you always want the last AB

Mclane is right, even though I pick the road team in most instances out of habit. Definitely an advantage to bat last...

In straight pitch, knowing exactly how many runs you need to slaughter or not be slaughtered is huge for pinch hitting purposes.

We have a multitude of controllers to handle said situation, and it usually takes us 3-4 tries before we actually throw it out instead of putting it in the pile.  We are lazy...
