Title: More RBI Trivia
Post by: ultimate7 on 05/19/04, 08:12:14 AM
Given the Big Unit's feat, thought this question fit well today:

Which NES RBI pitcher threw a perfect game?
(Someone should know without having to surf it up)

Extra credit:
Name the 3 Arcade RBI pitchers that threw perfect games?

Now hang on, Witt didn't pitch the entire game...as I recall, it was a 3 pitcher effort...

No, Witt is correct.  JoeDirt I think you are thinking of a different game, maybe a combine No-Hitter for the Angels.

ah yes...I guess I was wrong--there's a first for everything.   ;)

Witt was a part of a combined no hitter--either with the Angels v. NYY or vice versa.

Notice in the boxscore that the only run of Witt's PG was driven in by none other than Reggie Jackson.

I wonder if I have a baseball card commemorating that combined no-hitter... was it in 1990?

1990 sounds about right...I seem to recall that it was extremely early in the season--that's why Witt had to come out.

Who are the three arcade pitchers to throw a perfecto?  I'm pretty positive Whitey never did it.  I'm pretty positive Koufax did.  Is Bunning on there?  How about Cy Young?
