Hello
I have a playstation 1 with a gameshark and a cd with tons of nintendo games on it. I was wondering if I could make a cd with the rom games listed on this site and play it on my playstation. If so could you tell me how to do it? It would be greatly apprieciated.
Thanks,
Dan
I have never used an emulator on the PlayStation before, but you should just need to burn the new ROMs to a CD, just as you did with the other ones. I don't know whether the emulator needs to be on the same CD or not, although I'd assume so.
what is this game shark mod you speak of?
I did not make the cd myself and I think its kinda complicated. The gameshark is a little blue thing I plug into the back of ps1. Then there is a spring to hold the c.d. area open, pushing down the buttion so it thinks that it is closed. Then I start the ps1 with a normal game, the gameshark screen pops up, I put the "nintendo CD" in , press start and now I have a list of like 1000 nintento games to choose from. RBI being one of them of course.
Most roms work good on the nes emu for the psx. The latest version works on both modded psx and ps2's. The emu is called "it might be nes" and it is one of my favorite nes emus. It plays a lot of roms the DC and xbox emus wont.
Anyway, this is the website where you can download "it might be nes":

This forum post has a creation guide.

It is a pretty easy disc to make, so give it a shot.
So is it possible to make a cd like "it might be nes" with the "hacked" roms that are on this site, so i can play them on my playstation?
Are you serious?
Are people really saying that if I burn FCE Ultra and a bunch of .nes roms to a CD, that I could play them on a PS3?
I may have just wet myself.
if i want to play on ps2, am i gonna need to get a game genie shark?
dthelucky1: Yes this will most likely play the user created roms. I have successfully loaded many hacked roms on my psx using "it might be nes".
Stock: This will not work on a ps3.
nomaaa: You will need to have some sort of working mod on your ps2 to play this emulator on it. Many options are out there. The easiest is probably getting a "flip top" lid mod and some swap magic discs. Installing the flip top is easy, and the swap magic discs are just boot loaders. Or you can get a mod chip and solder, which I do not recommend. My buddies chip had 36 freaking wires to solder. The solder points were so small, he had to pay a pro to install it.
