Hey dudes,
Finally signed up for these forums after lurking forever. Wanted to introduce myself, and say hey to everyone. My name is Joe -- but when drinking my buddies call me Jow -- and Ive been an RBI player since the ripe age of 8. Played it a TON on my NES as a small chap, and used to drop all my quarters in to the Arcade version at the local Chuck-E-Cheese back in the day. Im an arcade collector, and RBI was the 3rd game I ever owned. Its been with me since 2003, and I still play it all the time. If anyone is interested, you can check it out here:

Hope there is still activity here, and I look forward to talkin some RBI with you guys. :D
Cheers,
Jow
your link doesn't work, but i went to the main site of http://thegarcade.webs.com and clicked the RBI link, and it worked. it looks like your arcade collection could rival shooty's...good stuff.
but his link does work.
I love how the Arcade poster advertises "Add-a-coin continuation feature for those extra inning games" when the games end in a tie after 9 innings.

Also, "Split-screen graphics"? What the hell?
Welcome to the forums, Jow.
Thanks guys.
I think the "split screen" feature they are talking about were the kits they put into the Dualsystem cabs:

And the "red tent" cabs (the sit down Nintendo cocktails).
I could be wrong though? :)
That's pretty clever, advertising a feature that was a standard part of the cabinet and had nothing to do with the game.
"Convenient quarter-operated gameplay!"
Welcome Jew.
Nice to see another arcade collector here.
Do you actually have 720 or just the shoes. I can't seem to find a 720 anywhere in my area, but I did get the shoes a few months ago after a night of drinking and ebaying.

No, Jow ;)
I do own a 720, but have actually not seen the shoes in person yet. I kinda like em though. What else do you have in your collection?? Where are you located? I may be able to help you track down a 720...
To answer the other questions -- no, I dont work in a factory, heh -- but I do have a wife and son (he just turned 7 months old) who will learn the RBI ways as soon as he can hold a controller :)
do you push the buttons with your left hand?
are you busy?
I wish I got your guys' jokes. Sadly, I do not.... :-\

thats got to be the creepiest version i have ever seen
why do you homos know about this?
i was a summer camp counselor in high school
I used to hide in the woods when Broiler was a summer camp counselor.
the version we sung was "push the button" instead of "turn the knob". at the start he says joe works in a button factory, not a knob factory. quit confusing the kids, jackass

I've never heard that song before, but I can't imagine a worse version exists

This pretty much sums up what I gots:

I'm in Ontario. Even some old school collectors say they haven't seen a 720 for sale around these parts for a couple of years.
Youve got a great lineup, Shooty. I installed a "Six Pac" kit in my Ms Pac so it plays Ms Pac, Pac, and Pac Plus. You should get one for yours. Also, if you havent already, check out the Star Wars/Empire Strikes Back kit for your SW. Its sweet. Love that Burgertime you have. Would love to add one to the collection. Ive got a Punch-Out awaiting a monitor, and Im still looking for a Joust, Robotron, and Frogger...
Its an addiction, heh.
Open Ice was a quality game, but...what does "PCB" mean?
PCB is just the board that goes into the machine. With Open Ice, its a JAMMA setup, meaning it can swap in and out of other cabinets that are also JAMMA. NBA Jam was made by Midway, as was Open Ice, so they are interchangeable as far as plug and play with all the buttons/controls working with no work.
I actually sold that board this weekend...
if i got my hands on an nba jam cab i think my dick would edplode.

Yeah, it's too bad they can't leave Magic out of it.

Somebody say Magic? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvfE-Cf9Qcc&feature=channel_page)
hardaway/mullin are unstoppable in the original nba jam arcade version
pretty awesome (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Arcade-Game-Punch-Out-by-Nintendo_W0QQitemZ160306347423QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Vintage_Video_Games?hash=item160306347423&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)
i never remember seeing one with the arms coming out of the cabinet like that.
i always wanted to battle vodka drunkenski.
Vodka Drunkenski was my favorite character in Super Punch-Out!! Sadly, SPO is almost impossible to find in the arcade version :(
spo?
Sorry. SPO = Super Punch Out
oh word. i'm not completely familiar with arcade.
