I just got into downloading and playing RBI on my compy. It's truely the greatest thing since playing it on my NES. Even better is a program that enables you to customize teams and abilities... it's a whole new world for me!
Anyway, with this new found light I was curious if there was any way that stadiums, field sizes, and stats could be enhanced. Does anyone know of a program out there where this is possible?
Better yet I'd love it if the game was just re-released in all of its 8 bit glory with more game play options. I never really could appreciate RBI 2 or 3 like I did the original.

Thanks. I was just going to put a retraction to my post. I'm truely in awe! This is like Christmas in January... still cold though.
Did you check out nitewulf's RBI editor? It's pretty rad.
If I could make one major change to RBI, it would be to have it able to include all 30 teams and 2 all stars.
The second one would be to make player's fielding speed equal to their baserunning speed. Make defense a little more dynamic and maybe add a little more parity to the game.
I was thinking about that. The defense option would be a nice feature.
I explored through the nightwolf page and made my own teams for 2009. I graciously included Manny with LA.
Is there a way to edit the teams the were made on the custom stadiums made by prodigy? Better yet I'd love to be able to make a few of my own stadiums. It would be a great gift for my dad to be able to play RBI at Dodger stadium. Its the only game he ever enjoyed.
Anyone have any idea?

Does anyone know how to play RBI Baseball on a PDA? Maybe there is a special emulator or something? .... OH! That would be so awesome!

I think there's a thread about that somewhere, but someone else should look for it.
If you're playing on an emulator, you may want to check out Family Stadium '90 - it's got multiple stadiums and a season mode, although the gameplay isn't exactly like RBI.
I believe nightwulf put together an editor for that one as well.
I played RBI for a while on a PSP, but then I finally updated the firmware (which killed the ability to play emulators) and haven't looked much into ways of downgrading the firmware. It was fun while I had it and apparently it's pretty easy to downgrade the firmware to allow emulators. My PDAs are pretty old and don't have fast enough processors to run an NES emulator, but maybe the newer ones do. It would seem that control would be difficult on a PDA/iPod/iPhone.
Last year it was announced (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/05/25/rbi-baseball-swings-to-xbox-360/) that RBI would be coming out as a downloadable game for the Xbox 360, but nothing ever arrived. Maybe for this baseball season? The game was expected to have made-up players, but anything is better than nothing. Someone should e-mail that company and see if that is still in the works or if it died in favor of their new Action Sports online thing for kids.

PDA? I know theres a thread about the rbi and blowjobs but thats probably best served to get done in private.
Oh man! That was funny! :(
I found out how to do it...
Now to just find out how to get Dodger stadium on the game... or any of the other 27 other stadiums. I have yankee and wrigley already.
Maybe we could all put our files of stadiums/teams on one common thread so the next dude that comes along can just go there and find it all in one place?
I have a standing offer of one testicle for anybody who makes an editor that works on the custom stadiums

That is a whole different game.
R.B.I. is truly fine the way it was brought into this world. That's my opinion.

YEAH! no kidding
I just spent at least 2 hours customizing my teams on the family 90 version and it did not download over to my PC. It was almost demoralizing to have something like that happen... ugh
It's time we throw some cash together and have some smart asian kid figure this out.

You seen the RBI editor? You can customize your own teams...like change the color of the uniforms, change the name of your team, and tamper with the speed, curve, speed, power, and contact rating for each player.
You should see the mandatory page for all newcomers to dee nee....
The first step of me was to have changed the name of the player, the team name, and the logo, etc.
(Without using Nightwulf's editor)
Please get below
1. Binary editor
(For changing the player's name, the team name, player's stats, Error rate.)
2. NES Graphic editor
(For changing the team logo)
If you changed the name of the player, the team name, and the logo, etc. by yourself, the stadium change might be also possible.
