I don't know how many of you guys are hard core Tecmo players...
One of my college buddies and his brother run a big tourney here in Madison (http://www.madison.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=68126), and the next one is coming up on the 7th. I even heard rumors that there's been so much demand he's upping the field to more than 64 players.
If anyone might want to come from out of town let me know.

He loves the original Tecmo Bowl and has a strong distaste for Tecmo Super Bowl - since this tournament is the latter, he probably will get all excited when he sees the thread title, only to meet with bitter disappointment when he sees the actual tourney details.

If it's March 7th I'll be there, I'll be in Janesville anyhow, may as well come out.
Turns out we're gonna be in Sun Prairie, not sure if that's closer or not, but I'll still probably head over for a bit.

Sun Prairie is a suburb of Madison on the East side, much closer than Janesville. Janesville about an hour away, Sun Prairie is like 15 min out. Sounds like you'll be in better shape.

I e-maile the guy running it and he said the field has already been set and their is a very slim chance of getting in the tournament. Thanks for the tease though! :)
