Nah...I got enough going on with running this league.

Maybe at the end of the year....kinda pro-bowl style. I'd rather select players (with everybody's help) after the year is done.

There will be a 2 week break from May 15-29 due to my baseball trip to the States.

Also, I'm taking off to Stockholm tomorrow then it's off to Leksand on Friday for my Swedish league games this weekend. So I'm going to try and pump out all the recaps and boxscores tonight dee nee time. Unless I take my extra hard drive with me to Stockholm and connect that to the computer at the hotel. And no I don't have a laptop...hate em.

Second and third, no outs... score nobody. That's gotta hurt.

My offense seems to have pulled it together some more, and my pitching was fantastic. Tudor + Krukow like whoa.

PS: I love that two lefty pitchers give me the possibility of a lefty hit almost every time they're up. Also, that Ashby is an awesome PH

I can't say much about my game...since Beef has not seen it yet. The zip for our game has not been downloaded. It went into extra innings.

The Alliance-Pabst Blue Ribbon will be the big story of the week... ;)

Worst.  Part 2.  Ever.

Good game, though.  You need to fire your third base coach - I think you had five guys tagged out at home plate.

It sure was! Wow! I can't believe we came back in the ninth again vs you guys. That must have been a heartbreaker Beef. You had us with 2 outs and up by two in the ninth. Gibson and Uribe...they're what we thought they were!
That shit drove me nuts, us getting nailed at the plate 5 times in one game. How is that possible? Oh well, I think it almost evened out...you had a crucial runner get nailed out third a couple of times...
It was a good pitcher's duel btw. I'm glad that Schmidt went easy on us...and Dawson.

He clutched up...and your new team has a better look eh? How bout Alxnder and Witt coming out of the pen and looking solid? Well, Witt not so much. DwEvans hit 2 more jacks...he's on a serious terror this year.

He hit at least 3, could have been 4, don't remember. Strawberry started the game with 2 consecutive hits...making it 9 in a row.

Okay, back to scoring the games.... :)

We meet up next week Alec...You're at home. What city is Doc Ellis Magical Mushroom Park located at anyways?

So I'm going to go with St. Petersburg, Russia.

Boston can have two teams. The commissioner frowns upon foreign locations...

The Empire is the exception since it is located on planet Coruscant (Imperial Center), the capital of the Galactic Empire. It is generally agreed that Coruscant is the most important world in the galaxy.

Pabst Blue Ribbons shock Rebel Alliance, snap 5 game skid

MADISON (AP) - In probably the most improbable comeback victory of the year, the Pabst Blue Ribbons erupted for 10 runs in the 8th inning in paving the way to convincingly beat the Rebel Alliance 18-12 at Madison Park in Wisconsin.

Down 10-3 in the third and 12-5 going into the 8th inning, the Pabst Blue Ribbons accomplished the improbable. A comeback victory and outscoring the Alliance 13-0 in the final two innings.

It appeared that the Rebel Alliance started celebrating a bit too early as manager Re-Peat  ordered a Chinese buffet and pizza to the dugout in the 7th inning.

In a interesting twist, MWitt came into the game in the 8th to relieve a tired Clemens. He had a 3 run lead and in a NY minute, the Blue Ribbons were up 15-12. Witt, traded from the Blue Ribbons for Alxndr of the Alliance, surrendered 4 runs in his inning of work and picked up the loss.
On the other hand,  Alxndr picked up the win and looked sharp in his outing as he only gave up 2 runs and kept his new team in the ball game in his three innings of relief work.

The shocking upset sent tidal waves throughout the league as tv programing was interrupted across the galaxy.

Gedman led the Blue Ribbon offense with 4 hits, 4 RBI and a blast in the ninth inning to secure the victory. Dykstra, Buckner, and Alxndr appear to be settled in with their new team now as they have greatly contributed in the last two games, but most importantly in the win today.

Records - Pabst Blue Ribbons (3-10) (2-7), Rebel Alliance (6-7) (4-4)

If my team wasn't so shitty, Dewey would be the clear cut MVP thus far.  He's been insane.

Canseco has been utter shit.  Worse than that.

True on the fist part...

not true about Canseco...he does have really high expectations on him...his numbers are good, just not out of this world that is expected of him every year. His 27 contact rating hurts him a bit.

NO....your offense has clearly improved with Ripken's power from the 8 spot. That fucker prolonged a 2 out rally with his bomb when you guys came back on us. OSmith does not do that.  Yes, Ripken can suck in the clutch for some reason, but he is a clear upgrade from OSmith. The Sally Cunts are a much better offense with OSmith. OSmith is shit. He made the Blue Ribbons worse, but was able be used in me getting Gibson.

I guess you can say it's was a wash for all three teams...

Bruno has monster day, Fighting Artichokes have easy time with OC

Santa Maria (AP) - The Fighting Artichokes jumped out to a 15-5 lead by the 5th inning and  cruised to an easy 16-11 win at Central Coast Park.

Doc Gooden (6-1) pitched all nine innings as he limited the dangerous OC offense as the game was really never close.

T.Brnsky had a monster day as he belted 3 gorgeous blasts into the beautiful California sky. Brnsky's impressive shot in the first inning seemed to stun OC's ace J.Key. Bruno finished the day going 5-6 with 7 RBI's. Lake went 4-5 at the plate, not bad for the lowest pick from the draft who is a starter.

The Artichokes are 3-1 against Gantry League opponents so far this season and have sneaked back into the race for the final playoff spot with the Alliance, Unholy Legions, and Chocolate Rain.

The OC remain in third place in the Gantry League.

Records -  Fighting Artichokes (6-7) (2-6), OC of the Central Coast (7-6) (5-4)

Tudor and Viola demoralize Cutler offense

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - In a highly anticipated showdown of two of the top offensive juggernauts in the league, only one showed up to get the fireworks going in the crucial Gantry League match-up.

Tudor and Viola combined to allow only 10 hits and 1 run in six innings of work as they silenced the number one offense in the league and laid a mercy rule on the Cutlers.

The Cutlers inexplicably looked flat at the plate and killed themselves over and over as they hit into a season high 4 double plays. They were 0-5 with runners in scoring position and blew a 3rd inning opportunity with runners on second and third and no outs in the 3rd inning as Tudor pitched out of the tight jam.

Much credit should go to Tudor and Viola as they hit their spots all day long and kept the powerful Cutler offense off balance all day.

Will Clark hit a pair of beautiful shots and drove in 4 runners in leading the Badass offense who appear to be back to their explosive ways.

The Badasses move into sole possession of second place in the Gantry League while the Cutlers remain in fourth place and a game back (or two counting tiebreakers) of the OC for the final playoff spot.

Records - Awesome Badasses (8-5) (6-2), Fighting Cutlers (6-7) (2-6)

Saberhagen limits Chocolate Rain

BOSTON (AP) - With each team entering their default relief pitchers after 4 innings of play and the scored tied at 8, Sabrhgn out pitched his counter part NRyan in leading the Sally Cunts to a 14-11 victory.
DSmith picked up the save in his dominant inning of work as he retired JClark, GBrett, and TPena in order.

The Sally Cunts scored 5 runs off the Ryan Express and added on more off Stanly while the Chocolate Rain were only able to score one run off Sbrhgn. The Sally Cunts bullpen pitched effectively as Corbett allowed 2 runs and DSmith surrendered none.

The Sally Cunts have now won 4 straight while Chocolate Rain have dropped 5 in a row.

DStrwby went 2 for his first 2 to record nine straight hits dating back to week 12. Strwby went 4-6 in the game and had a home run. EDavis had a huge day at the plate (5-6) as he hit for the cycle and drove in 4.

The Sally Cunts remain in first place in the Gantry League as they hold a one game lead over the Awesome Badasses. Chocolate Rain drop to last place in the DoveRBI League.

Records- Sally Cunts (9-4, 5-2), Chocolate Rain ( 5-8, 4-5)

Galactic Empire prevail in extra innings in come from behind victory

SIOUX FALLS (AP) - Down 9-7 with two outs, Dale Murphy and Kirk Gibson hit back to back homeruns to tie the game in the top of the ninth and Orosco and Schrld pitched a scoreless bottom half of the ninth to send the game into extra innings.

The Empire scored 5 runs in the 10th and Shrld held off the Unholy Legions in the 10th as the Empire won the exciting DoveRBI League contest 14-12.

This marks the second time this season that the Empire came back in the 9th inning off the Unholy Legions to win, only this time the Empire won in extra innings.

Dale Murphy went 6-6 and newly acquired Kirk Gibson went 5-6 with 3 2B's and a home run as both drove in 3 runners.

The Empire remain in first place by 3 games and the Unholy Legions are locked in a three way tie for second place with the Fighting Artichokes and Rebel Alliance.

Records - Galactic Empire (9-4, 6-1), Unholy Legions of Doom (6-7, 4-4)
