Title: FRBI Season V All-Star Voting
Post by: Mike D. on 05/12/09, 03:16:06 PM
Who would be on an all-start team from each division?  Darky, do you have updated stats?

Would we nominate 1 player from each position and 4 subs, with 2 SP's  and 2 relievers, like in the game?

I don't know if the Cunts would have a single all-star.  Maybe Lopes, Straw or EDavis would get mention.  Laudner, perhaps.

Anyway, I know there isn't going to be an All-Star game, but I think we should still nominate and vote on an All-Star team.

There is no way that Strawberry doesn't make the All-Star team.  I'm wondering if he would be in the running for league MVP.  After all, he is the best player on the best team, and he absolutely EXPLODED against the Craptastic Empire.

I have always like Strawberry, I'm sure if I was in this he'd be on my team and I'd be in first place.

Only problem with Straw is that there are some other outfielders in the game who may have better numbers than him.  I'm not sure without seeing some updated stats.  My favorite player on the Cunts is Lopes.

There will be an All-Star game after the year is done. We'll all vote after the season.

Straw will surely make the team. His numbers are awesome.

I should be done with the stats in about an hour or two. I have them updated through week 13 and part of 14. I'll post it in the Stats thread and attach the excel sheet.

The Unholy Legions have the most homers in the league btw...and as if week 13, the Empire was first in doubles and second in average.

All the top pitchers are in the DoveRBI division. Tough place to play. The OC has the best staff in the Gantry division.

Let me go finish up the stats and spit out some numbers later.

Tudor and Viola gotta be up there at least in terms of good pitchers...

Tudor for sure. I think Viola is in the second tier...

Sutclf is apparently making a name for himself this season. I feel inclined to include him in the top tier...he is now second in the league in ERA at 10.83....right behind Cox who has a 10.80 ERA

Dawson+Bell+Lemon=locks to start for the DoveRBI outfield.

Schmidt+Bruno= locks for the infield.

Carter is a lock at catcher...

No, not according to the draft sheet. I just looked at it.

This just may result in a forfeiture of some of their games. I guess TBT was not  aware of the exact position of his players when he gave me the lineup at the beginning of the season and I made the mistake of not double checking. Honest mistakes.

His current line-up needs to be changed in accordance with the rules  (3 of, 4 inf, 1 c).
The Artichokes have had 4 OF's in their starting line-up all year.

Final stats should be done in the next two days.

And then we will vote and the all-star game will take place immediately.

MVP and Cy Young will also be voted on.

Feel free to start any kind of discussion here about whatever or the format you think should be done.

Chet Lemon was first in the DoveRBI league in Home Runs...he's a lock.

Dawson appears to be a lock as well for the DoveRBI league outfielders...

I'll try and get the stats done tomorrow or wednesday the latest...have to update three weeks...

So I guess we won't be voting on an All-Star team?

It's a player only ballot.  No fan voting in this one

Sorry, I've been lazy and kinda busy. Really needed a break from this and still need to update the stats. Maybe I'll get started on finishing up the stats later.

Fans and team owners are welcome to vote.

Sorry once again guys...
