Guys--
Very impressive site, I love finding more and more people who are still playing the greatest video game every created. Although my friends and I frown upon straight-pitch (RBI Softball, as I call it) this site is flat-out amazing. It's hilarious how close to home all the rankings and moves hit (Subbing Harry Spilman is virtually a commandment). The glossary is great too, although the names may be different (the strike a pose is a "web gem" to us, and a wallzie is Father Dowling's Mystery corner, a nod to Tom Bosley's old TV show Father Dowling's Mysteries, and the fact that the 5 hitter on California seems to hit the most of them, and obviously its a mystery how the f*ck the ball goes through that wall). Anyway, I'm very impressed by everything on this site, and if you guys are ever looking for suggestions, we give theme songs to all the players, which can be pretty funny. (ie: Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme for V. Coleman, or Outkast's Ms. Jackson for Reggie). Keep up the great work, and hopefully I'll see all of you in a national tournament someday...

I'll have to ponder that one for awhile. Maybe Coleman's should be "Rocket Man" for his firecracker incident?

I'm from Long Island, NY... my love of the St. Louis Cardinals is a strictly RBI thing. Although I saw a post scoffing at the idea of producing runs with Vince and Ozzie, I find it the most enjoyable (at times most frustrating) team to play with. Not to mention the movement on Tudor's ball is off the charts. If only the game were a year later, so that the Cards could have heavy swinging Pedro Guerrero, this team would be on the elite level. As for the theme songs, I like that idea for Vince (although some might argue Clemens has a claim to it). The songs can range from the obvious, like Counting Crows "Mr. Jones" for Ca's super-sub Ruppert and "I want candy" for SF's clean-up hitter Maldanado, to the obscure Andrea True Connection "More, More, More" for Ca's mediocre closer Donnie (its that song that goes, more more more, how do you like it, how do you like it?) Anyway, it's just funny to have one of these to break into when one of you players burns your opponent with a big play.

Hey Flood! We will not have that kind of callous misrepresentation of RBI'ers on this forum. Posting falsehoods like that hurt the image of these fine atheletes and make you look silly....
