Sorry to keep responding for SmokedUBad, but he just recently started a new job and I have been trying to help take some of the burden of coordinating the tourney off of his shoulders...
So, to answer your question, the 1st alternate spot is still available.
It's yours. We need to get the details worked out: when and where are you guys planning on playing the tourney?
Please send the total $50 to Beales asap so he can officially mark you down for the first alternate spot...

I just got off from work and e-mailed you back T Roogs. But basically what he said... we'll start the reserve list and you guys will have the first spot. Someone almost always has to drop out and your reserve (aka winner of the satellite tournament) would be the person to replace the dropout.
Just one additional piece of advice... I realize that you will probably play the satellite tournament by your own rules. But I'd really recommend trying to apply the COTUT rules so that the winner is better adapted to our style if/when he enters our tourney. ;D
