Post by: Darky on 06/08/09, 09:19:23 AM
As soon as I get a reply pm from TBT, Ultimate and Alec about the SP rotation, I'll fix the ROM's so we can start the playoffs. As soon as I get their PM's, game one will start today and game two will happen tomorrow.

It will be a 7 game series.

BeefMaster has elected to have home field advantage. AlecTrevylan has elected to have away field advantage.

All games will be youtube'd.

Doesn't take much to sweep me in the regular season, especially with Will the Thrill blowing cocks. Like the penis kind.

Seriously, my team sucks, beating us doesn't mean much, though losing to us is pathetic

R.Jones hits 4 Home Runs, BadAsses hold off late Cutler rally for win

CHICAGO (AP) - R.Jones drilled 4 shots and drove in 6 runners while W.Clark and K.Pucket each homered twice to lead the Awesome BadAsses to a 21-18 game 1 victory over the Fighting Cutlers.

Dayley was roughed up in the 8th inning for 7 runs off 8 hits as the BadAsses took a 20-7 lead. The Cutlers scored 4 in the bottom half of the 8th inning to narrow the margin 20-11.

The BadAsses added another run in the 9th when Dwning hit a RBI double and took a 21-11 lead going into the last half of the ninth. The Cutlers staged a comeback and scored 7 runs to make it 21-18, but Bedrsn came in and got Raines to pop out to end the Cutler rally.

The two teams will face each other tonight for game 2.

Lindmn's 1st inning Grand Slam left the Unholy Legions flat

SIOUX FALLS (AP) - J.Lindmn hit a grand slam in the first inning and the Fighting Artichokes never looked back as they mercy ruled a flat Unholy Legions 18-8 in 6 innings.

Brunsky, DaEvans, and Lindmn combined to go 12-15 with 10 RBI's and Doc Gooden helped his cause by going 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBI's and two doubles. Lindmn led the Artichokes with 6 RBI's on his huge night.

The Artichokes picked a good time for their first victory over the Unholy Legions as they go up 1-0 in the seven game series. The Unholy Legions swept the Artichokes during the regular season and are heavy favorites to win the series.

The two teams will square off tonight at Sioux Falls Park for game 2 of the series.

Not according to the numbers I'm looking at. The emergence of the Empire the past two seasons and the emergence of the Sally Cunts has compensated, but we have lost some viewers who have emotional ties with the OC cause of your back to back championships in seasons 2 and 3. You're kinda like the America's team of the FRBI league.

Spolier alert.......

If it werent for the bop in the 6th inning(mcgee on 3rd and 1 out) this game ends up with the artichoke blowing out the ULD.  Bop lead to 4 runs.  The Artichoke faithful had a pleasant drive back to dodge.  Up 2-0 and headed home.

Shoddy baserunning cost the Artichokes at least 1 run and 3-4 baseruners.  Fuck it, lets take game 3 and then bring out the brooms.

Pendlton cranked out the tying homer in the 9th and the another in the 10th to put that bitch out of reach.

Fighting Artichokes rally late for win, take 2-0 advantage heading back home

SIOUX FALLS (AP) - On a cloudy and cold day at Sioux Falls Park, the visiting Fighting Artichokes overcame a 9-4 deficit in the 7th inning and managed to even the contest up and hold the number one offense scoreless in the ninth to send game two into extra innings.

With two outs in the top of the tenth inning, JuFranco singled to spark a 5 run rally to give the Artichokes a 14-9 lead. J.Reardn retired the top of the explosive Unholy Legion line-up in order in the bottom of the 10th to seal the win.

T.Pendltn and T.Brnsky each hit a pair of shots and DaEvans along with JuFranco went 4-6 to lead the Fighting Artichokes on offense. The Fighting Artichokes got superb pitching from their starters, and lights out pitching from their bullpen. Herndez and Reardn allowed a combined no runs and only one hit in their short relief appearance of three innings.

The Unholy Legions bullpen allowed 7 runs and squandered a great effort by both Reshl and Sutton who only gave up a combined 4 runs in their 7 innings of sharp work. The real problem was the offense who disappeared after the sixth inning.

The Fighting Artichokes outscored the Unholy Legions of Doom 10-0 in innings 7 through 10. The highly touted Unholy Legion offense were shut down by the FRBI league's number two team in pitching. The cliche "good pitching beats good hitting" was reality on this cold and cloudy day at Sioux Falls Park.

"Its not the size of the artichoke in the fight, its the size of the fight in the artichoke!" said a jubilant TBT after his improbable victory that now has his team two wins away with a date with the Galactic Empire.

The 7 game series will now move over to Forte Dodge where Artichoke fever has engulfed the city.

Fighting Artichokes lead series 2-0

Fighting Cutlers pull away late, even series up at 1-1

CHICAGO (AP) - The Fighting Cutlers used an 6 run eighth to pull away from the Awesome BadAsses 12-5 in a pitchers duel at Soldier Field.

The Cutlers scored 3 runs in the sixth off back-to-back-to-back home runs from Baylor, Nokes, and DCincs to take a 6-5 lead and used great pitching from Hurst and Dayley down the stretch to blank the BadAsses the rest of the way.

Bedrsn, who came in to the bottom 8th inning out of the bullpen, was rocked for 6 runs on 6 hits in his disaster inning of relief. The 12-5 deficit left the BadAsses flat in the ninth as they failed to stage any kind of comeback.
"Fuck Bedrosian. And getting nailed at home." said an enraged AlecTrevylan in a state of confusion. He was reminded by an AP reporter that he was actually on the road to which he did not share any comments regarding that.

Krukow allowed only 4 runs in his 4 1/3 innings of quality work. Hurst and Dalyley gave up no earned runs and only 4 hits in their 4 2/3 innings of brilliant pitching.
DCincs and Baylor each hit a pair of awe inspiring shots to the tune of 68,000 screaming fans at Soldier Field who chanted their usual "85 BEARS...85 BEARS" after a home run by their beloved Cutlers.

The series will now shift over to Oklahoma City at Doc Ellis Magical Mushroom Park where the Cutlers are 0-2 this year from the regular season.

Series tied 1-1

Game 3 will take place on Sunday. I am not home until then because the team I play for is 2 hours away and I am going to stay here until Sunday. Had a game today and two more on Saturday in Stockholm, plus practice tomorrow and Friday.

I plan to finish the divisional playoffs next week, then there will be a week break before the Championship Series because I am going to Prague with the national team to play in some international tourney for a week. If there is time, then maybe I can get in games 1 and 2...but that depends how fast the other games go and how much time I have to go all out.

TBT is getting cocky...I recieved no less than 3 mails from him yesterday in which he specifically told me what he thinks the Artichokes are going to do to the Empire... ::)

DCincs hits 3 HR's and Brnger pitches two scoreless innings in relief to lead the Cutlers

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Down 15-13 with two outs in the top of the 9th inning and their backs to the wall, Raines, Herndz, and Baylor hit consecutive doubles to score two runs and tie up the tight contest. J.Brnger pitched a scoreless bottom half of the 9th to force extra innings.
Leading off the top of the 10th inning, DCincs hit a solo shot as well as his 3rd home run of the day to give the Cutlers a 16-15 lead. Raines added a RBI single to make it 17-15 going into the bottom of the 10th.
J.Brnger pitched brilliantly in the 10th as he allowed no runs and picked up the crucial win to give the Cutlers a 2-1 advantage in the series.

Speir and DCincs went 4-6 and combined for 4 HR's and 7 RBI's while D.Baylor had an impressive day as well by going 5-6 with a HR, two 2B's and 3 RBI's.
The difference in this tight and exciting divisional playoff game was the relief performance of J.Brnger. Brnger allowed on two hits and no earned runs in the crucial 9th and 10th innings. Brnger's velocity appeared to intimidate the Awesome BadAsses by hitting 102 mph.

Fighting Artichokes mercy rule Unholy Legions of Doom, on the verge of a clean sweep

FORTE DODGE (AP)- The Fighting Artichokes used a 9 run 4th inning to power by the Unholy Legions 19-9 in seven innings. The Unholy Legions now are in a very uncompromising situation being down 0-3 in the series and now need to win 4 straight to move on.
The Fighting Artichokes have now won 5 straight dating back to week 21.

DaEvans and C.Davis each hit 2 home runs while T.Brnsky went 4-5 to lead the Artichoke offense. The trio have really stepped up recently and it's no accident that their offense has become explosive with their recent hot bats and production.

Fighting Artichokes complete 4 game sweep, move on to meet the Galactic Empire

FORT DODGE (AP) - C.Davis went 4-4 with a pair of shots to lead the Artichokes to a 12-2 mercy rule victory in six innings over the Unholy Legions of Doom and completing a four game sweep. The 58,000 fans dressed in artichoke green at Fort Dodge Park rushed the field. For one night, the sleeping town stayed up all night to celebrate the Artichoke's improbable run over the Unholy Legions as Artichoke mania has captured the imagination of the citizens of Iowa.

C.Davis, was voted Divisional Series MVP. The veteran went 15-21 (.714), knocked in 10 runners, and hit 6 home runs from the lead-off spot.

The Artichokes outscored the Unholy Legions 63-28 in the four game sweep accompanied by 3 mercy rule victories.

The Fighting Artichokes have now won 6 straight and are sizzling hot. The Artichokes will now face the Galactic Empire for the DoveRBI CS and will be heavy underdogs. The Galactic Empire won the season series 2-1 and had the best record during the regular season. It will be the league's number one pitching staff of the Empire, against the league's number two pitching staff of the Artichokes.

Fighting Artichokes win the series 4-0, Series MVP, C.Davis

Awesome BadAsses rout Fighting Cutlers, even up the series at 2

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The BadAsses' 10 run third inning flattened the Cutlers in route to a 17-7 mercy rule pounding in 5 innings. The series is now even at two games apiece.

Down 6-3 in the third, the BadAsses scored 10 runs on 10 hits as they hit singled and doubled for most of their runs. Brenly capped the rally with a three run shot of Krukow.

J.Tudor drove in two runners and went 2-3 in helping his cause. The crafty lefty pitched a modes 5 innings and surrendered 7 runs on 16 hits. J.Kruk went 3-3 from the 8 hole and hit a triple. The bottom of the BadAss lineup more than carried their weight today.

Series tied up 2-2

Krukow didn't really pitch as badly as it looked, the only tough one was the 3 run shot to Brenly other than that, it was a lot of rollers through the IF.

Fighting Cutlers pull away to capture game 5, series heads back to Chicago

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Fighting Cutlers jumped out to a 10-0 lead by the third inning and never looked back as they defeated the host BadAsses 23-14.

The BadAsses did manage to make the game a bit more interesting, but repeatedly failed to take the lead when they had their chances. The Cutlers used a 9 run 7th inning to basically put the game out of reach.

DCincs and Speir both collected 4 RBI's and T.Herr hit two triples from the 8 hole as the offensive firepower of the Cutlers was just too much for the BadAsses to overcome. The Cutlers belted 28 hits in the game.

The series will now move back to Chicago at Soldier Field today. The Cutlers are one win away from a date with the Sally Cunts.

Fighting Cutlers lead series 3-2

I'm worried about the layoff affecting the Sally Cunts.

Jesus, how many triples? And errors?

I especially like that 4th inning one that turned into two outs -_-

SPOILER ALERT

You guys came out flat Alec. You did very well for a rook...nothing to be ashamed about. I'm just glad the Cutlers won so I don't have to score another game lol...

The Cutlers made some errors as well that led to some runs...your lineup is strange. It's seems like it's all or nothing.

Thanks for your participation and enthusiasm this season. Very much appreciated. I hope that you elect to come back for next season. You have a solid program.

Yeah, I look forward to another season.

Preferably with a lineup that is more consistent. You never know inning to inning whether they'll go 1-2-3 on 3 pitches, or if they'll score a dozen runs.

I'm satisfied with my team's performance, we're ready for next year!

It's kinda disappointing when my hit-or-miss offense is as flat as Keira Knightley's chest.

Fighting Cutlers win big at home, now move on to face the Sally Cunts

CHICAGO (AP) - The Cutlers got great pitching and did their usual thing at the plate as they routed the BadAsses 16-6 in 8 innings to clinch the series in front of their 68,000 loyal fans at Soldier Field.

D.Baylor belted two shots and ended the game and series with his mammoth 2 run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning. D.Baylor was voted series MVP. The slugger hit .583 (21-36), drove in 13 runners, and hit 7 home runs in the series. He homered in every game but one.

The Cutlers will now move on and face the Sally Cunts. The Sally Cunts won the season series 2-1 during the regular season and outscored them 43-28. The Cutlers won the last match-up 20-11 in week 14. The Gantry Division Champions ended the year with two consecutive losses, but will be slightly favored to win the Gantry League Championship Series.

It was an impressive run for rookie team owner AlecTrevylan. He took his team to the playoffs in his first year in the FRBI League, and appears to have a solid foundation for his program.

Fighting Cutlers win the series 4-2.
