Probably a two-horse race between Owen & Santana...  If I could though, I would write-in Steve Lake

steve lake was definitely left out, i don't know how someone that is so shitty like him could pass me by like that.

it's a done deal Gantry, I figured Uribe might pull a vote, but not enough to stake a legit claim in the shitty player race, so I axed him for Steve Lake

Pedrique is the worst hitter, right handed and just plain terrible.

You shouldn't know how bad Santana and Owen are because you should always pinch hit.

all those hitters should be pinch hit for but rafael santana is just about as bad as it gets...  i cant speak for steve lake cause i never use him.

I already voted, so my Santana vote stands.  Fortunately for me, I have the administrator account as well, so Steve Lake gets on the board....

I do keep Bill Doran in the game, he's not half-bad in straight pitch.  He's no Reynolds Wrap, but servicable...

It's a good list, but my final subs would be Davidson and Pedrique for Doran and Buckner...

buckner and doran are both left handed pieces of poo...   the only thing that keeps them in the lineup is their possibility of the leftty-hit.   as far as buckner is concerned, he is the only lefty seeing that the chicken eating, plate-kissing, womanizing, beer guzzling a-hole boggs is hit for every time.   not that i have anything against him...

dude, steve lake is from inglewood, he's pretty hard to me even if comes up with infield grounders and pop-fly outs every at bat.

i haven't really come up with a set lineup for boston.  burks definitely leadoff.  i debate about hitting for buckner and/or boggs.  i like to have hendu coming off bench for the pitcher in a big spot.  e.g. bottom fifth inning- their starter is tired- he intentionally walks armas in 8 spot to get to pitcher- you force the hand with hendu for clemens.
 

my vote is for sullivan. i have been playing this game for over 12 years now...i can not recall ever once getting a hit with him. he's the pits.

That's one more hit than Pedrique or Davidson will give you....  Billy Buck seems to do decent in his first AB, after that it's launch time.

i dont see why Pettis is even on this poll. i feel he is one of the better table-setters on the game

Don't knock Sullivan... he hits bombs.  I've personally hit at least three out of the stadium shots with him.  No joke.  I swear.

I always thought J. Cruz sucked.  He never does shit....the worst #2 hitter IMO.

I have no problem with Jose Cruz, much better than Mookie Wilson...

I voted for Spike Owen, although he never gets a chance to display his pathetic swing as Dave Henderson takes his job.  It was tough to decide because all of those guys suck.  The thing that really sucks about Bill Buckner (if you don't sub anyone) is that he hits between Marty Barrett who sucks, and Wade Boggs who manages have a great batting average for getting no hits.  Throw in Spike Owen with that bunch and you've got the worst hitting infield possible!
