Furthermore, I was wondering if anyone has accomplished playing RBI through an emulator on the PS3 with PS3 controllers.
Are there multiple functioning Linux NES emulators? If so, are some better than others?
I'm considering putting in the time to install Linux on my PS3, etc... etc... but one of the primary reasons would be to play emulators and whatnot so I thought I'd float the questions.
UBUNTU is what I'm going to use as the OS, unless others have a better suggestion.
On ubuntu, install rocknes, you can google where it is. You will need the liballegro4a libraries.
There are more than a few emulators, a couple are in the normal repositories.
Is the installation of the liballegro4a libraries pretty self explanitory, I haven't looked any of that up... ...I'm in the backup up process of the 160 GB HD I have in my PS3, 11 minutes to go then I can start banging my head against the wall attempting to install UBUNTU.
Every time I type UBUNTU it reminds me that the Brewers never fucking bunt. I feel Felix Mantilla attempting to shout from the stands.
sudo apt-get install liballegro4a
ubuntu is pretty easy to install.
Attempt one I bailed on, I don't think I got the boot loader properly burned to the DVD because I'm an idiot. Either way I panic'd a little bit after that and decided to restore the back up which is going to 1.5 hours. Damn it. I don't want to cancel it at the moment.
What I'm wondering is how in the hell I'm going to get my PS3 data back on the PS3 OS enviorment after I'm able to install Linux, without erasing the other OS.
