Title: fceux vs fce ultra
Post by: ryno on 10/22/09, 09:02:44 PM
I have yet to DL an emulator on the new laptop. .  .until now.

I found this new fancy fceux emulator.  Very nice, but I can't take a fkn snap. .  .. all of my "f" keys say "state load error"

I tried to find an old fce ultra, but the only one I found I couldn't set the configuration for my controller.

So, anyone have a link to the "good" fce ultra emulator?

Why do You guys use fce? Nestopia is the favorite emu for our tecmo community. Great emulator with the best netay around.

I'm actually not trying to push nestopia (ok, but only slightly), I'm seriously curious why FCEU is the emu of choice?

F12 takes a snap shot, drops it in your ROM directory if you haven't specified a snaps directory. Did you look?

FCEUX is the "good" fce emulator. FCE Ultra was discontinued years ago.

it's what everyone's always used.

when i first got here, fce was the best way to play online (through a dee-nee server running for fce).
now, no one really plays online, or even wants to, so we just want to use what we know. they all do about the same shit - interfaces are really the only difference.
