Option 5: Ojeda

Option 7: Cox

Option 8: Reuschel

I just took the #2 starter from each team (no all stars) for the list
I would put Viola on that list over Blyleven, most people agree that Bertus is a top-tier starter...
EDIT - I edited the poll and put in Viola for Bertus, as I think most everyone agrees that Bertus is a stud. Don't mean to overstep your bounds here GDavis, so feel free to put Viola back in if you want...
its cool, i was considering that as well
viola is the best pitcher on that list... the worst would have to be fat rick. although he isnt the fattest on his staff... that honor goes to don robinson who exerts gravity.
However, all the players seem to have the same race, and the same girth
i was thinking more in terms of their real life physique as opposed to their "white tony gwynn-ness".
Wow, Big Daddy is getting quite a few votes. Don't use hiim much in curve (Krukow has hella-junk), but I figure his high curve rating would give him the nod over a couple of the other guys...
I always thought "Crucial" Rick Reuschel was a good combo of speed and curve. Interesting results thus far.
there are only 7 votes thus far GDavis, don't get too down
I figured the O-ring, Bob Ojeda, would pick up a few more votes, he's brutal
I think Ojeda is nasty. He doesn't have great stamina but he almost set the strikeout record vs. Ryan Express (14 is the record set by Blyleven). Backdoor curve to righty hitters is a sight to behold.
Everyone has their favorites, I agree, Ojeda is nasty, but every time I pitch him he seems to get shelled.
He is nasty for about 3 innings, and then I'm stuck with three options:
1. taking the ram rodding with Ojeda
2. putting in the other O-ring-Orosco (who is nasty for 2/3 of an inning,
and then peters out)
3. putting in Roger McDowell who has nothing
That's my reason not to pitch Ojeda, he has good stuff, but why start him when you can go with Dr. K?
Ojeda can go 5 2/3, Orosco can go 2, McDowell can go 1 1/3.
got that down to a science, huh, Big_Apple_RBI_Champ
bumpst? just curious as to what the more modern dee-nee'ers tink.
I think Sutton is as assey as they come. Even the geri curl products he puts on the ball doesn't help him.
I think Hurst is underrated personally, I dunno though.....All of these guys bring a little something different....
Hurst has nothing much going for him other than a slightly above average changeup and being a lefty. Once he tires out he's nothing and it's tee time.
Once he tires out you make the change to the Steamer and keep cleaning house...BUT I always start Clemens and then go to the Steamer and use Hurst for cleanup/closer...and stay away from Calvin Schiraldi...
I am going with Cox, I think he is the worst of that group at least

I resent this, as I am also a huge fan of Cox. In fact, when I'm St. Louis, I'll typically play with Cox the entire game.
So back off.
Also, crucial rhymes with Reushel?
Do you mean you re-sent it?
I don't remember who I voted for....

When it comes to RBI Baseball, I'm considering re-signing.
Also I would I would appreciate it if Cox were re-sent to my all-controlling hands. My thumbs are particularly legendary.

Lindeman in for Herr!
that is useful.
old news but good news
Morris sucks. He has horrible counter movement and a bad attitude.
