Post by: bibleboy94030 on 08/26/02, 04:22:28 PM
Hey everyone, I'm new to this group but Im an old school RBI fan.  I always bring my nintendo w/me everywhere I go, but Im ready for a new challenge.  HOW DO I GET A COPY OF THE GAME W/THE ARCADE TEAMS (all time greats)???  I could try to buy an old arcade stand alone game, but is there some way I could get the software to play on my computer, Nintendo or Playstation or something?
I really apprecaite anyones help as I am not the best on this internet stuff.

Two things you need:

1) The MAME arcade emulator - http://www.mame.net/ (http://www.mame.net/)

2) The RBI Arcade ROM, try the rbibb.zip download on my media page.  I don't think it works, but there's only one way to find out....

And I would recommend Elaine Pagels for good reads on early Christianity.  Takes a historical perspective, not preachy in any way....

Everyone... I sent Gantry a copy of the ALL TIME TEAMS that I created so he should post the new ROM in a few days.
Includes:
CA is now OAKLAND.
MN is now REDS.
And following RBI protocol, the All Star teams include players NOT on other teams.

Have fun playing.

Yes you can play RBi on your comp.
Need the following:
(1) A system to run the game, called an EMULATOR.
(ECU Ultra seems to work best).

(2) You then need to download ROMS, or the actual game itself, to play.

(3) You can play w/keyboard, but I recommend Gravis GAMEPAD Pro contollers, just like Playstation ones.  Can be purchased at any big computer store.

(4) You can even update or edit these ROMS to make your own real or fictional teams.

If you have a question about RBI, the first place to go is the RBI Frequently Asked Questions Page.  Go to the following link to "How do I play RBI on my Computer"
