Title: Factory Sealed RBI Baseball
Post by: JoeDirt on 12/11/09, 12:38:56 PM
This has to be one of the prized possessions for the die hard RBI fan out there:

Factory Sealed RBI Baseball (http://cgi.ebay.com/RBI-Baseball-Tengen-NES-factory-sealed-Very-Rare_W0QQitemZ370250287622QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Vintage_Video_Games?hash=item5634a30a06)

The price on this sucker is stupid, though.  I have two of these and I think the most I paid was $50...

nice.  It is kind of like buying one of those graded comic books though.  They seal the fuckers so they stay in the condition they are in and nobody can then again read them.  What's the point of a sealed RBI cartridge if you don't open it to play.

My thinking was that it's so easy to get a copy to play and the sealed one is quite uncommon.  Just a neat piece to have for a die hard RBIer.

JD will only play with a new cartridge.  After he uses it once, he gives it to a poor person.

How can you actually know if someone didn't seal it after the fact?

because when it comes down to it, if you're leaving it in the package, it really doesn't matter anyway

after so many years of being in the original plastic, it would show some smudges and streaks on the plastic film itself.  i wouldn't believe this.  still could be a mint copy.  but i doubt it was factory sealed.  especially without some sort of oldschool pricetag on it.

I might have to make an offer.

Fake or not, if I can get a sealed copy for like 10 bucks... I'd be a happy guy.  I'll hang that up right next tot he Danny Cox autographed copy once I frame it.

I just bought it for $65.     :-\

It's my 3rd one.  I just like things, apparently.

Isn't it time you left some feedback for the guy?

You should get it and take it to the old school RBI'ers for autographs.

Definitely gotta get Gary "The Rat" Gaetti to sign that piece of gold. Harry Spilman, Marc Sullivan and Rob Wilfong would be a great touch too. Make a whole science project out of it.

But its sealed.  Are they supposed to sign the cellophane?
