Larussa suggests possibly adding McGwire to the active roster after Aug. 31 to use as a PH.

That is a great idea, assuming they have room on the 40-man.

He hit .187 his final season 9 years ago.

Rickey says Rickey can run!

With 29 homers and 56 walks.  I assume this is for a "we really need a homer" situation, along with hoping that he's feared enough to still draw walks.

Read the article...  even LaRussa says it's unlikely he'll be used.  They're just keeping options open.

How long has it been since baseball has had a coach/player?

Is Repeat a douchebag for asking a question and answering it himself?  I don't know.  Does Repeat smear crunchy peanut butter all over his asshole and let his dog lick it clean?  Probably.

Do I like what you did there, with the asking and answering of your own questions?  Absolutely.

Repeat is a douchebag for so many reason, just pick something and you have a very high % of being right.

Like so - Repeat is a douchebag for blowing up the Challenger.

I gotta agree with JoeDirt on this one.

I didn't know the answer until Ult said it was Pete Rose.  Then I looked it up and clarified his answer, because Rose continued to manage after he quit playing.

And the Challenger had it coming.

Why did Christine Mcauliffe have dandruff?

She left her head and shoulders on the beach...

Too soon?

When I was a kid, I remember thinking that we were so edgy and funny when we made the Challenger jokes.

My favorite was always, "Why didnt' the Challenger astronauts take showers before the launch?"

"Because they all washed up on shore"

I'd never heard either of the Challenger jokes before, and they're both great.

This is inspiring a new thread...
