Im Jeff from chicago, an avid RBI player, my friends and I get together every monday night for a tourney. First off I would like to say this message board is great, and your web page is awesome gantry. Im not too far from DeKalb and I would pay you to come to my house and set up the RBI manager for me on my computer, I have been playing with the 2002 lineups and its awesome to play RBI with Bonds, Ichiro, and Pujols. But I want to play with my home town boys, Magglio, Konerko, Big Hurt, and C.Lee. So hopefully we could get in touch somehow Gantry.
Getting back to the actual NES version, this has never been mentioned on the board but my friends and I have noticed that in tight games if you pinch hit for someone with a guy off the bench who;s name is an H he either hits a bomb or does some damage. Heep from NY is known around here for GW HRs. Hendriks(CA), and Henderson (BOS) are also clutch. There are other Hs it has worked with but I cant think of it right now. It is known around here as the "H" Factor. Your guys thoughts?
P.S. Oh, and why WClark? He is considered the best hitter in the game amongst us. Once hit 6 bombs in one game with Will. He simply dominates and by far has been Intentionally walked the most in our tournaments. TArmas a close second.
WClark
Thrill is sweet- no reason to pitch to him with Brenley behind him. I just don't like to hit with lefties- I seem to ground out to first often.
I think Gantry makes reference to the H thing somewhere in the site. I think it's crap.
What a bad attitude for a so called RBI Champ???
Welcome WClark, good to have you....
I will revise my FAQ questions to get RBI Manager and Arcade RBI up shortly so stay turned. Getting a bunch of emails about lately, and need to stop putting it off...
As far as the "H" factor, I've seen that posted on a couple video-game-tip websites under RBI Baseball. Doesn't hold much weight for me, but if it works for you keep utilizing it...
