Title: Yet another successful title defense!
Post by: Burnzky on 02/28/10, 08:13:23 PM
Greg and I had another series last night, I won in 6 games.  The key factor was probably the numerous and untimely bops for Greg.  The first game he had Ca and bopped 5-6 balls but he still won the game.  But in game 5 after the series was tied 2-2, I was down 1 run in the bottom of the ninth and he had Hernandez(Dt) pitching.  First batter pops up weakly to the pitcher but Hernandez dropped it, Teufel then came up and hit a walk-off.  The most interesting play of the night happened when there was a line-drive hit to my third baseman with nobody on.  Initially I expected to catch it in the air so i tried to throw it to away to third like i usually do after an out but the ball bounced before I caught it.  So the ball was heading for left center but luckily my shortstop was coming over to cover third for no reason and the ball went right to him. I was caught off guard by the whole play and only managed to make a weak throw over to first by just tapping A but it got the runner by half a step.

Game 1:

Aaron (SF) 7- 10 (Ca) Greg  Speilman 3 hr's

Game 2:

Aaron (Am) 4 - 2 (SL) Greg

Game 3:

Greg (Ny) 6 - 8 (Mn) Aaron

Game 4:

Greg (Am) 12 - 5 (Na) Aaron

Game 5:

Greg (Dt) 4 - 5 (NY) Aaron   Teufel walk-off

Game 6:

Aaron (Ny) 9 - 3 (Dt) Greg

Greg need to stop trying to throw before fielding the ball imo
