I predict the Sally Cunts will be mercy ruled once again.  Because we always get mercy ruled.

HOUSE OF CARDS.

BIG GAME in the Gantry League today!

Big games all around. So many things are up in the air as we approach December if you will...

If the Empire-Blue Ribbons game is a low scoring game, then they'll win. If we score over 12 runs, we'll win. Actually, we'll own...

The OC-Ulracher game is for first place! If Gooden can work with a lead, then good things may happen. If the OC hits another 8 jacks or more---they win.

The Alliance-Sally Cunts game should be a low scoring one. If it's a high scoring game, the Alliance wins.

The Fighting Artichokes refuse to disappear. But I don't see them beating the Poopydicks. If Gibson and Joyner have good games, that should be enough. If Reardn has to save the game, that won't be good news for the Artichokes. If those little speed demons have a huge day for the FA, then they'll have a great chance to put up some big numbers on the scoreboard.

The Banana Hammocks-Badasses game should be a shootout. It's gonna come down to the bullpen I suspect. If it does, the Badasses win. The Hammocks will need to have at least a 8-9 run lead going into the 8th to win...their bullpen is real shaky.

You should see how the OC-Ulracher game turned out. WOW! But yeah Mike, that was one beautiful collapse...

And Heath is having a horrible year...horrible year. Unacceptable. Too many breaks went against us today. Talk about some cheap runs the Blue Ribbons scored. Serious power outage from us today and Rags can fuck himself.

Giving up 11 in the top of the 9th....I would call that an epic collapse.  Especially since a  BOP made it all possible on a perfect double play ball.

It would be nice if our pitchers could get a fellow pitcher out with two outs.  Pretty sure that's the third game this year where an opposing team started a major rally on the strength of a pitcher base hit.

After falling way behind early, we'd crawled back to trail just 17-16 going into the ninth... and lost 33-16.  Also, Mike Witt issued a four-pitch walk to their pitcher, although that was during a different inning and didn't cost any runs.  Top of the order struggled a bit today, although 33 is more than even our offense has put up in any single game so far.

Rebel Alliance overwhelm Sally Cunts in the 9th

Minneapolis (AP) - The Sally Cunts overcame a 10-1 deficit in the 4th inning and took a comfortable 20-14 lead going into the top of the 9th. The disaster struck when RP King took the bump to preserve the lead and help the Cunts to victory.

With no outs and Boggs at first base, Shrdr hit a liner at second baseman Pndltn. Pndltn BOP'd and what went from a double play opportunity became a momentum changer. The Alliance went on to score 11 runs off 10 hits in the 9th, and the highlight of the inning was W.Boggs' grandslam that put up the Alliance 23-20. Shrdr then doubled, Herr followed up with a RBI triple, and Tramml hit an RBI ground out to give the Alliance a 25-20 lead going into the last half of the 9th.

Shrld came in the 9th to pick up the win. After giving up back-to-back HR's to Raines and Pndltn, he shut the door on the Cunts to complete the last inning comeback.

Rebel Alliance 6-8, (4-4)
Sally Cunts 7-7, (5-4)

Official scoring nitpick: I believe Orosco should technically be the winning pitcher for the game, with Schiraldi maybe getting a save - when a team takes the lead, it's their previous pitcher who becomes the pitcher of record.

Solid cunting job by the Alliance there.

The score was 14-14 after 7½ innings. Orosco gave up 6 runs in 1 IP, and the Cunts went up 20-14. Shrld preserved a 25-20 lead and only gave up 2 runs in 1 IP. Shrld gets the win in my book.

That's fine, and I agree that Orosco sucked; I'm just being difficult based on the rulebook definition.  It's similar to the situation when a closer blows a save in the top of the ninth but his team comes back to win in the bottom half (or if he blows the lead in the bottom of the ninth, his team scores a run in the top of the tenth, and another reliever closes out the game) - he gets credit for the "win" even though he basically failed at his job.

I know technically I was wrong, but in my way of being rational---I felt that Shrld deserved the win. I have this power to credit him the win 8)

And I'm about to score your game next...ugh. That's going to take a few <lol'd>

Fighting Ulrachers grab first place with record setting 16-run 9th inning

San Luis Obispo (AP) - In a Gantry league first place showdown between the Fighting Ulrachers and the OC Legions of Doom, the Ulrachers shocked the OC with a record setting 16-run 9th inning and scored a FRBI all-time high of 33 runs to overpower the OC 33-16.

The Ulrachers held a 9-2 lead after 4½ innings, but the OC clawed back to make it 9-8. After 6½ innings, the Ulrachers went up 16-11, and the OC responded with 5 runs to even up the showdown at 16.

In the 8th, J.Cruz came off the bench to deliver a pinch hit solo shot to give the Ulrachers a slim 17-16 lead. Corbett then came in out of the pen for the Ulrachers to hold the tight lead in the 8th. He pitched an impressive scoreless inning and held the powerful OC bashers.

In the 9th, history was made.

T.Worrel came in to keep the game close for the OC, unfortunately after 16 hits and 16 runs, the OC crowd was shocked with disbelief. This kind of unprecedented explosion is to be expected by the OC who are first in offense in the FRBI league, but the Ulrachers flexed their own muscles and made a strong statement with a relentless storm of doubles and runs to take a 33-16 lead going into the last half of the 9th.

Corbett pitched another scoreless inning and just like that, the Fighting Ulrachers are now in sole possession of first place.

D.Thon had 7 RBI's from the 8-hole and D.Evans belted a pair of shots and registered 6 RBI's. The Ulrachers outscored the OC 17-0 in the last two innings.

Fighting Ulrachers 9-5, (6-3)
OC Legions of Doom 8-6, (4-4)

Banana Hammocks use strong pitching in cruising to victory

Oklahoma City (AP) - The Hammocks got great pitching from Tudor and Clemens as they held the Badasses to only 3 runs through 7 innings and held off a late surge to win 12-9 in a non-league game.

The Hammocks took full control of the game in the 6th inning when they scored 5 runs to go up 10-3. In the 8th, the Hammocks added 2 more runs to increase their lead to 12-3. The Badasses finally scored off Clemens with a 4-run 8th inning to cut the deficit 12-7. In the 9th, Clemens was forced out of the game after he allowed 2 runs, but Stanly came in to preserve the victory as he picked up the save.

Not much happened offensively for both teams, but the difference may have been Clemens going 2-3 with a double, 1 RBI, and a run as well as extending the 6th inning rally.

The Hammocks remain in a tie for third place with the Alliance and only one game behind the Poopydicks. The final push down the stretch to see who makes the playoffs should provide plenty of drama since second and third place is still wide open. Of course, this is assuming that the Empire does not collapse from their stronghold on first place.

Meanwhile, the Awesome Badasses remain two games behind the Cunts and Blue Ribbons who share third place in the Gantry league.

Banana Hammocks 6-8, (4-5)
Awesome Badasses 5-9, (1-7)

Fighting Artichokes breeze to victory

Phoenix (AP) - The Fighting Artichokes have climbed out of the cellar and have positioned themselves to make a probable playoff push once again.

Down 7-2 after 2 innings, The Artichokes rallied for 8 runs in the 3rd inning to take a 10-7 lead and never looked back as they had an easy time with the Poopydicks with their 21-14 crucial Dove RBI league victory.

Down 16-8 in the 6th, the Poopydicks threatened with a 6 run rally to cut the deficit 16-14, but that would be the last time they crossed home plate. B.Ojeda pitched 3 scoreless innings down the stretch with an assortment of off-speed pitches, and the Artichokes added 2 runs in the 7th, and 3 runs in the 8th thanks to back-to-back HR's by Burks and Schfld.

Despite the loss, the Poopydicks remain in second place by 1 game over the Banana Hammocks and the Alliance. The Fighting Artichokes remain in last place, but are only one game behind the Alliance and Hammocks, and 2 games behind the Poopydicks. With a lot of baseball left, nothing is for sure in the Dove RBI league---except for the likely-hood of the Empire winning the division for a third time in a row since they old a three game lead in first place.

Fighting Artichokes 5-9, (2-6)
Poopydicks 7-7, (5-4)

Pabst Blue Ribbons edge Galactic Empire

Arkansas (AP) - A record crowd came out to Razorback Stadium to see their beloved Blue Ribbons narrowly defeat the Galactic Empire 13-12.

Down 11-8 in the bottom of the 8th, Baines led off with a triple to start the rally. Pinch hitter J.Franco then popped up. The next batter Burlsn lined out to 3rd baseman Mdlck, and Mdlck threw the ball away due to a glitch, and Baines scored to make it 11-9. HoJo then singled and Baylor followed up with a 2-run homer to tie it up at 11 with two outs. Lemon and Hrbek hit back-to-back hits, and with runners on 2nd and 3rd, Brenly delivered a clutch double to put the Pabst Blue Ribbons up 13-11.

In the 9th, Kerfld came in to earn a save. The Empire quickly mounted a threat after a pinch hit HR by Buckner. With two outs, J.Leonard doubled and Shrdn was in a position to deliver a clutch hit in Empire like fashion. However, Kerfld struck out Shrdn and the Pabst Blue Ribbons move into a third place tie with the Sally Cunts.

Galactic Empire 10-4, (5-2)
Pabst Blue Ribbons 7-7, (5-3)
