He's just not a worthy second rounder. You guys thought more of him than what he is actually capable of. It was a gamble to take him in the second round.

Worst 2nd round pick ever.

Maybe slightly better than Matt Nokes, actually.

It's so frustrating watching the SP stay in entirely too long, until that magic 4 run barrier is hit.  Viola was clearly out of steam, just giving up hit after hit.

Fighting Artichokes mercy ruled for 4th straight time, Ulrachers back in first place

Fort Dogde (AP) -  In five quick innings, the Fighting Ulrachers demonstrated why they are in first place in the Gantry league as they torched the uninspired Fighting Artichokes 15-2.

The Ulrachers got all their runs in the second and fifth inning. They scored 6 in the second and 9 in the fifth inning and it proved to be more than enough since the anemic Artichokes only mustered 2 runs against a sharp B.Hurst.

The Artichokes have now been mercy ruled a record 4th straight time and have been outscored 73-27 in that span. Last year's worst team, the Pabst Blue Ribbons, were 7-15. At 5-13, the Artichokes are on their way to a dubious place in FRBI history.

The Ulrachers now regain sole possesion of first place by one game over the Cunts and OC.

Fighting Ulrachers 11-7, (7-4)
Fighting Artichokes 5-13, (3-8)

Pabst Blue Ribbons route Awesome Badasses in a quickie

Arkansas (AP) - The Pabst Blue Ribbons remain in the hunt for a playoff spot and move to .500 as they routed the last place Awesome Badasses 11-1 in three quick innings.

Everyone in the PBR lineup had a hit, and the Blue Ribbons scored 6 runs in the second and ended the game with a 5 run third inning when Baylor advanced to home on a throwing error. Blyvn only gave up one run off 6 hits in three innings of quality work.

The Blue Ribbons are only 1 game behind the Cunts and OC for the final playoff spot with 4 games to remaining. Should their pitching continue to be their strength, then their chances only increase. The Blue Ribbons will travel to Phoenix for their next game to play the Poopydicks, and have a crucial league game versus the OC in week 20.

With the loss, the Awesome Badasses have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. AlecTrevylan, who guided his team to a playoff birth in his first year last year, was unavailable for comments after the game.

Awesome Badasses 6-12, (1-10)
Pabst Blue Ribbons 9-9, (7-4)

Sally Cunts edge OC Legions of Doom down the strectch

Sioux Falls (AP) - In a huge Gantry League matchup, the Sally Cunts outscored the OC Legions of Doom 5-0 in the last two innings and held on to win 23-20.

Down 20-18 in the top of the 8th inning, T.Gwynn came off the bench and hit an inspiring pinch hit homerun that shifted the momentum to the Sally Cunts. The next batter, Hatchr, also came off the bench and drilled a pinch hit double. Pndltn would hit him in with a double and the score stood even at 20.
D.Smith then pitched a scoreless bottom half of the 8th as he retired the lethal OC offense side in order.

In the top of the 9th, Worrel came in to keep the game manageable. Worrel gave up a leadoff shot to G.Carter, and the Cunts scored two more runs in the inning to take a narrow 23-20 lead going into the bottom of the ninth.

With the crowd on their feet and cheering their home team on, G.Davis smacked a line drive into the gap and headed towards second base. D.Murphy played the ball perfectly off the wall and threw a seed to second base as G.Davis was out by a mile. The crowd was quickly silenced and RP King got the next two batters out to pick up the save.
Despite the power across the board for the OC Legions of Doom, their lack of speed caught up with them and continues to be a thorn on their side.

The crucial victory by the Cunts also gives them the tiebreaker over the OC since they won season series 2-1. With 4 games left in the season, the playoffs have begun in the Gantry League. The Ulrachers, Cunts, OC, and Blue Ribbons all have a shot to win the division while one of these teams will miss the playoffs. So there is a lot left to be decided, and the schedule favors the Ulrachers down the stretch since they have two dates with the Fighting Artichokes and the Badasses.

The OC will take on the Banana Hammocks in week 19, and the Sally Cunts will host the Galactic Empire in a rematch of last year's epic final that was decided in extra innings in game 7. Ratings are expected to go through the roof for that classic match up of arch rivals.

Sally Cunts 10-8, (7-5)
OC Legions of Doom 10-8, (6-5)

Damn! I saw this post and fully expected the Alliance to pull out a win...

I also call Bolsheviks. Any game Barret hits a home run should be an automatic W for us.

Poopydicks bullpen silences the Alliance in crunch time

Madison (AP) - In a pivotal Dove RBI league match up on a bitterly cold day in Wisconsin, the visiting Poopydicks took control of second place as they pulled away from the Alliance and won 13-9.

Down 9-8 in the top of the 7th inning, the Poopydicks tied it up on a RBI fielder choice by Krukow. Krukow then retired the side in the bottom half of the inning. In the top of the 8th, Canseco doubled to lead off the inning and G.Brett drove him in with a double down the LF line. Bdrsn then came out of the bullpen and pitched a scoreless 8th.
The Poopydicks added three more runs in the top of the ninth, and Senôr Smoke J.Brngr earned the save by silencing the Alliance's bats with a brilliant scoreless ninth.

The Poopydicks outscored the Rebel Alliance 5-0 in the last three innings. J.Canseco led the Poopydicks offense by going 4-6 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 6 RBI. The Poopydick bullpen only allowed 3 runs after Reushl came out in the 5th.

The Rebel Alliance remain deadlocked for the last playoff spot with the Banana Hammocks and both teams fall 2 games behind the second place Poopydicks and are mathematically eliminated from winning the Dove RBI division since the worst the Empire can do is have 9 losses on the season.

Poopydicks 10-8, (7-4)
Rebel Alliance 8-10, (5-6)

Galactic Empire remains perfect at home, slips by the Banana Hammocks

Imperial Center (AP) - The mystique at Imperial Center grows with each win at home for the defending champion Galactic Empire. The Empire have now won a record nine straight home games as they edged the Banana Hammocks 15-13 in front of their loyal fans.

The Hammocks jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning and led 10-7 after 3 and a half innings, but the Empire's productive offense kept hammering away and took a 11-10 lead after the 4th inning and would never trail again in the game as their pitching held the Hammocks to only 3 runs after the fourth innings.

J.Leonard continues to swing the hottest stick in the FRBI league right now. In his last three games, J.Leonard (Leo) is 16 for his last 19 and set a FRBI record of 12 consecutive hits in that span. Tonight, the former batting league champion went 4-6 with 2 HR's, 2 doubles, and drove in 5 runners as well as crossing plate 3 times from the lead off spot. And by the way, he also hit a Grand Slam.

The Empire's bullpen once again did their job by sealing the victory as D.Righti and D.Robnsn only allowed 1 run.

The Empire's magic number is now 1 in order to clinch their second consecutive Dove RBI league title and appear to be a lock to represent the Dove RBI League for a third straight season in the FRBI WS, but nothing is given as anything can happen in a 7-game series.
The Empire will travel to Minneapolis to take on the Sally Cunts.

The Banana Hammocks remain tied with the Alliance for the final playoff spot and do hold the tiebreaker edge right now since they won the season series 2-1 over the Alliance. The Hammocks will host the OC Legions of Doom in tonight's action.

Galactic Empire 13-5, (8-3)
Banana Hammocks 8-10, (5-7)
