Title: Modded Wii
Post by: Turd on 05/15/10, 12:03:06 PM
I modded my Wii using the smash stack hack and now I can run SNES and NES games on my TV.  No need for a cart now!

Plus, retrousb.com has adapters to hook the NES controllers into it...

I'm gonna look into a feature I think it offers that lets me load ROMS off of a network share too, which means I can have it read from my main computer and automatically see any new roms I've created...

It is in my nature to fully immerse myself in anything I find interesting. That's just how I roll.

But you're right. I have lots of projects going on in my head and it's easy to get burned out. I've been working on my editor the past week, so I thought my Wii project would be nice so I can actually play the game as opposed to messing with the code.

Plus, guys are contacting me more now with help getting online. I take frequent evenings off to avoid burnout.

P.s. Over at the tecmo community, doing extra-curricular stuff with the game is common. People are actually excited about the game for which their forum is inspired by, which results in a lot of innovation.

LCD...actually, it looks fine...better than it did on the CRT TVs at the Milwaukee Dee-Nee fest.  The only gripe is that the colors are a little bright on the one palette choice that I liked...but if I switch my tv to theater mode, it looks perfect...

Saying it looks better than the CRT TV's isn't saying much.  Not that they looked that bad or anything.

True, on most CRTs, it probably would have looked good, but on those bar ones, they were awfully fuzzy. Still, not bad at all...you're right though, bad comparison.

Main point, it looks good on the LCD...

Yeah some CRTs have really bad inputs, especially if you are going the coax route.  But I'm intrigued about the LCD, never seen one that even came close to a good CRT for RBI.

Was there any input lag or the like?  Lots of times on HDTVs it's like the refresh rate isn't matched up or something and you have to delay your swing a bit.  Drives me FKN NUTS

The manual for the tv said to use a different input, so I did and it fixed the lag.
