Title: Almost perfect.
Post by: Suckerpunch on 06/06/10, 10:07:16 PM
120 games into my season on the rbi players circuit and playing NL all-stars vs NL all-stars I lost a perfect game with 2 outs in the ninth.  We play allowing 2sp and I had Sutcliffe, who came in for  Valenzuela in the 5th, still pitching in the ninth even though he was toast and I had 2 relievers in the bullpen.  Murphy flew out to deep center to start it off, than Guerrero fouled out to the catcher.  Finally, after a long battle  John franco connects on a 50 mph fastball that dribbles just past my pitcher and Franco easily beats the throw from my charging SS.  Raines than grounds out to end the game.

If you had two relievers in the 'pen, why'd you conserve them?  You'd have been the first to be entered into the hall-of-fame.

Think either of you guys would be interested in a league? I'm looking for guys with more than just a few games in the RPC, and I think you two certainly qualify for that requirement :)

I guess the NL shortstop is Pedrique, but I subbed him in the first with Murphy and that probably explains the poor play.

I should have pulled Sutcliffe but was being stupid and a bit cocky.  Maybe I can get the commish to reverse the call at first so I can enter the hall of fame.

I'd be up for a league now that work is slowing down.  Not sure about Kevin but will ask.

Are you up for a game tonight?
