These guys have a pretty neat concept for a tecmo league where you start with a year and players get re-rated after each season...they've been around for a while, started on '90 I think, and are now on 1998.
I think it'd be fun to do this for RBI. The only thing that might turn people away (or make things difficult) is that to keep it consistent and save a lot of time as well, ratings are done using formulas for each season. So, some extra discussion might need to be had about this.
I'm not quite ready to run the league yet, still gathering the people, but it's a cool concept, and if I did get enough people, it's one that might make for a good time...
Discuss.
:D sounds like fun, but what do i know i am doing yearly roms ;)
The league roms would be different than yours due to using formulas. Yours probably have a little more care in refining ratings.
all good in the hood to me, i just love baseball and the thought of playing through the years is awesome. i have an old notebook from when i was younger, i wrote down all my stats with players after each season starting with KGJ through HighHeat
Yeah...I'm gathering info and preparing stuff to get a league going...I'm counting the hacks I was waiting for to be dead and gone for now, so I'm gonna move forward with the league as it stands right now. I think we got enough guys...I'll post a new thread and we'll start discussing...
I'm debating on requiring 3 or more games to be played in the RPC before joining...it would prove that you are setup to play, and should weed out people who love the idea of a league, but wont' actually put in the tiny amount of effort required to setup their emulator and play.
