First games of the season were played this evening. There were a few hiccups with the site, but I believe they are squared away.
Game 1The Crew came out swinging, hitting .294 with 3 HR. The "Little Engine That Could" award for game 1 goes to Jim Edmonds. He hit the game's first homer with his 775 power and 25 contact rating, uncorking a nice hitting display for the Crew. Fast forward a few plays later...with 1 strike on the current batter, Manager Turd subbed in lefty "Jody Gerut," who proceeded to drop a slow mover between the 1st and 2nd basemen. With Gerut and SP Tommy Hanson on base, Tulow stepped up to the plate and ripped a 3-run jack, putting the crew up 4-0. Later in the game, McCann drilled another shot making it 5-0. Solid hitting brought the Crew their season opening victory.

Game 2 This game would prove to be a different story. Dirty's SP2 Jair Jfjdaklrjens was in Turd's head all game. The entire Mets staff ended up pitching a no-no. And while the Crew's SP2 Harang only gave up one run, it proved to be the only one the Mets needed, as they took game 2 1-0.
