Title: Series Recap - Seattle and Colorado
Post by: Suckerpunch on 07/02/10, 07:40:53 AM
This became a home and home series after a surprise Colorado snowstorm pushed the opening game to Seattle.

Game 1
A low scoring pitchers duel as it was obvious both teams were rusty and little tight in the first game of the season.   0-0 until the 6th when the Rocks finally pick up and run, and later add an insurance run in the top half of the 9th.  Street was able to pitch a perfect 9th to close out the game and the win for the Rocks!

Bastardo (Se)      30 0.133  4  3   1   0   0   10 0

Game 2
Things got a bit more interesting as the series shifted to Coors Field in the mile high city of Denver.  Colorado's OCbrer got the action started with a surprise HR and his first of the season.  A few innings later Seattle got on the board and took the lead with multiple HR's including one from Joey Votto.  Colorado was able to tie the game up in the 8th and then produced a walk off double in the 9th for the dramatic victory.

Hey, sorry if I screwed up the Home vs. Away situation... I was on the fly last night and got on the $hit list from the prego wife...

But the opportunity served to get a couple games in.

Great games too....

My timing with the bats is way off and the pitching was just too good last night.

Fun times.

0-2 :(

It's no problem.  If you guys are fine with it as is, I'm fine with it.  The idea is you play your games at the same park for a series, and the next season it'll switch...

Great games Bastardo!  I screwed up that home and away thing.  For some reason I thought we were suppose to alternate home field.  I guess it worked out ok thanks to Turd.
