Title: FRBI VI World Series
Post by: Darky on 07/08/10, 07:25:43 AM
The OC Legions of Doom have elected home field advantage. Game 1 begins today at 20:00 Swedish time.

Game 2 will start early tomorrow morning Dee Nee time. I won't be around since I'm travelling to my club team's city for baseball practice then I have the weekend series. So there will be no game on Saturday.

Best of luck to the Banana Hammocks and the OC Legions of Doom. May the series be dramatic and entertaining.

The Cinderella Hammocks better make this a 7 game series and make the OC sweat. Fuckin bs to drop a turd like that. Apparently they won their world series when they beat the Empire imo...

OC's power too much for the Cinderella Hammocks

San Luis Obispo (AP) - The OC Legions of Doom unleashed their benchmark power on the Hammocks as they pulled away from the Hammocks and mercy ruled them 21-11 in 8 innings.

After 4 innings, game one was even at 8. Then the OC went on a 13-3 run courtesy of towering shots contributed by Wilfng, McGwir, GDavis, Brookin, and J.Rice. Wilfng, McGwir, Brookin, and GDavis each hit a pair of shots and the OC outhomered the Hammocks 9-4 which turned out to be the difference.

The OC, who are seeking an unprecedented 3 FRBI title, simply outclassed the Hammocks in all phases of the game and it looks like the Hammocks will have to find their magic again.

Banana Hammocks 17-20
OC Legions of Doom 18-12

OC lead the series 1-0

OC's bullpen carries the Legions of Doom in victory, OC take 2-0 series lead

San Luis Obispo (AP) - In a surprising low scoring game at a sunny Sinsheimer Field,
the OC's bullpen did an outstanding job of shutting down the big hitters of the Hammocks while they get just enough offense to take game 2 by a score of 11-8.

Down 6-1 in the bottom of the third, the Legions of Doom did not panic as they scored 3 runs to trim the Hammock lead. After scoring a run in the top of the 5th and 6th, the Hammocks were up 8-5 and there was a sense that somebody was going to explode on offense. In the bottom of the 6th inning, the OC rallied for 4 runs to take a 9-8 lead that they would never relinquish.

The Banana Hammocks failed to score any runs after the 6th inning and only scored 2 runs after the third inning.  Long relief pitcher B.Witt limited the Hammocks to two earned runs while relievers McDowl and Worrel pitched lights out as they both blanked the Hammocks.

The OC Legions of Doom have taken a commanding 2-0 series lead and are just two games shy of an unprecedented 3rd FRBI championship. So far, the Banana Hammocks have looked outclassed and they will need to take game 3 at home to have any kind of hope as it seems right now. However, the Banana Hammocks thrive with to their backs to the wall, so nobody is crowning nobody here.

Banana Hammocks 17-21
OC Legions of Doom 19-12

OC lead the series 2-0

I was thinking after the seventh or eighth inning, "Despite being ahead, we haven't really hit many homers."  Apparently the team was aware of my concerns.

OC's muscles too much for the Cinderella Hammocks, one game away from a sweep

Milwaukee (AP) - With game 3 of the FRBI World Series deadlocked at four in the top of the sixth inning, the Legions of Doom found their second gear and put a spectacular display of hitting and power as they scored 10 runs and never looked back with their 27-14 impressive victory.

The Banana Hammocks made the contest interesting with an eight run rally in the bottom of the 8th inning to cut the deficit 18-14 and it was a new ballgame. However, the OC notched up to yet a higher gear as they exploded for 5 HR's and 9 runs to go up 27-14. In the bottom of the 9th, the Hammocks failed to mount any kind of threat and just like that, the OC is one game away from their 3rd WS title.

It was vintage OC Legions of Doom baseball in Milwaukee. The OC tallied up 36 hits and bled the Hammocks before their 9th inning explosion and an array of fireworks. In the 9th, they hit 5 of their 7 HR's to slam the door on the Cinderella Hammocks. It was simply an awesome display of power which is the exact reason the OC is in this position right now. Their team was built on brute power, and the formula appears to be a brilliant success. The Banana Hammocks simply had no answers for the power of the OC and have looked severely outclassed to the juggernaut OC.

Sally Cunts owner Mike D, who was in attendance, was caught on camera shaking his head in awe. "Damn, looks like it has struck midnight for the Hammocks".

TBG offered his brief analysis to the swarming media, "late inning clinic", and BeefMaster was seen motivating his team before the 9th inning and reminding them that they did not hit too many homers up until that point. Apparently the OC sluggers responded.

A dejected looking Turd was unavailable for comment, but team owner and FRBI commissioner offered his thoughts, "it's unfortunate that this series has been dull, the Banana Hammocks are not playing inspired baseball like they did during their run to get here. This is not good for TV ratings, especially since everybody wanted an Empire-OC matchup. Credit the OC for having 'the look' so far.

Game 4 is scheduled for later this evening.

OC Legions of Doom 20-12
Banana Hammocks 17-22

OC lead the series 3-0

Sure was ;D

I have no idea why the game came out with that kind of crap focusing?

What a boring series, the OC really dominated the Hammocks. Knew that was going to happen.
