Game 1Early mistakes let the powerful lineup of Milwaukee jump ahead to a commanding lead over the Braves in their home stadium at Turner Field. To supplement their onslaught of runs, Milwaukee hurler Harang pitched a complete game, striking out 9 and allowing 2 runs over 4 hits.
Manager RBIKongo gave a press conference after the game in which he credited the poor defensive play to a possible controller malfunction, which by all accounts seems very plausible. Watching the game there were several instances where the easy throw was botched and the ball made its way to a different base, resulting in loaded bases several times. In an offer of good sportsmanship, Brewers manager Turd offered a mulligan, which Kongo politely declined.
