Time to get in contact with his agent and book him to make a celebrity appearance at the next fest.

Actually sounds like he doesn't know dick about RBI.

the author was apparently unaware of arcade RBI.  ...if that's what stock meant.

It's forgivable.  Before this site, I'm pretty sure I had no clue that arcade RBI existed

Yes, but if you were doing an interview on the subject, a tiny bit of research might be expected

But does Matt Holliday know about the early throw bop?  That's the real question...

Being an A's fan, Matt Holliday can suck rotten eggs. That sandbagging sob needs Pujols in his lineup or Coors field in his back pocket. Oh no pennant race? No lineup help? No easy home runs? May as well phone it in and do my best to look like I'm interested.  >:(

Easily my least favorite baseball player. I'd rather have any triple A scrub on my roster than that goofball.

Maybe hes a world class RBI player, but I really doubt it. Figures he'd roll with the Yankees.  :-\

Totally forgot that Holliday traded himself to the A's and then refused to offer himself a decent contract to stick around.

Unfortunately, all a player can control is his attitude and production on the field. Look at his A's splits vs any other time in his career. Look what happened the very week he got traded to a contender. He looked like Adam Jones in Oakland, but suddenly hes
back to his juggernaut homer swatting elite outfielder ways the second he ends up on the Cards. Coincidence, I guess.

OAK - 400abs .286/11/54   .831 ops
STL - 270 abs .353/13/55 1.023 ops

Actually being motivated to play well when not surrounded by talentless hacks?

Don't rob me of my hate. Its all I have.  :'(

But honestly, its a question of heart. Pujols is elite because he will bang no matter who's around him. They finish 4th in the division, its not because he gave up or who was hitting behind him. His numbers are consistent no matter what happens. As such, he is a leader...Holliday is not.

End of story. Hate on the A's all you want, but those are facts.

There's a lot of Cardinal homerism around here.  Kahouty, just watch the video of Holliday dropping the easy fly in the playoffs last year.  The more you watch it, the more satisfaction you'll have knowing he's on another team.

protection in the lineup??

Not playing in a park with three square miles of foul ground?

Mark McGwire 1997*

OAK - 433 abs .284/34/81  1.012ops
STL -  224 abs .253/24/42  1.095ops

Funny how the '97 A's were miserable, the coliseum still had 3 miles of foul ground, and juice or not McGwire still had comparable splits. Hmm...odd don't ya think?

So whats Hollidays deal again? Goes back to heart. Has nothing to do with any of the excuses you guys are making for him. Case closed.

I'm still curious about Albert Pujols banging whoever gets close to him.  Sounds like a case of Roethlisberger's Syndrome.

Randy Johnson, *1998

Seattle, 9-10, 4.23 ERA
Houston, 10-1 1.28 ERA

That guy had no heart.

Also, just like Holliday, McGwire had much better seasons in St Louis than he ever did in Oakland.

No heart (although that's obviously due to the roids).

this is excuseable for some athletes.  the two named here are always excused for their behavior.

The A's got screwed when they traded for Holliday.  They gave up Huston Street and Carlos Gonzales who are now two of the Rockies best players.
