I just updated my all-time baseball rom, which I originally made in 2003. Here's some info.
Batters: Each starting lineup has all 9 positions. The hitting stats and ratings reflect either a player's MVP season or his best season from the decade he represents. His speed rating is based on his stolen base total from the same season. The bench has at least one left-handed hitter.
Pitchers: There is a starting righty and a starting lefty. Every team has two relievers with reliever stamina, but I started using 2 real relief pitchers in the 1970s; before that I just chose 4 pitchers, with the exception of Hoyt Wilhelm, who was an actual relief pitcher.
Roiders: I took out the caught and highly-suspected roiders and put them in RBI purgatory. The 1927 Babe Ruth has the highest power rating in this game with 60 dingers.
Team Halladay: 2010s (all stats from 2010)
Team Aaron: 1950s
Team Koufax: 1960s
Team Seaver: 1970s
Team Ryan: 1980s
Team Griffey: 1990s
Team Pujols: 2000s
Team Paige: Negro Leaguers (I researched some estimated stats when I first created this game)
Team Ruth: Pre-1950 American Leaguers
Team Musial: Pre-1950 National Leaguers
