Title: Looking for Competition in Cheese-land
Post by: MNTwinkies on 09/17/02, 08:21:16 PM
Just wondering if any of you guys that read this go to school at UW-Madison... there is a lack of good R.B.I.'ers here....  leave an email address.

I believe that there is a lack of good R.B.I.'ers across the nation.  Kids growing up these days have no respect for the game, and if it weren't for sites like this one, R.B.I. might be on the verge of extinction.

I went to UW-Madison, and there was some quality rib play.  But that was several years ago.  For now, just enjoy what Alvarez is doing with the program.  5-0 this week vs. Zona baby!

The key is to get these kids playing in college, that's where everyone builds up the RBI skills.  You have seemingly infinite free time and plenty of like-minded friends around.  It just takes two to get things started...

I agree Gantry, but another key, or problem I personally had, was actually digging up the ol' NES, and RBI.  Not everyone thinks to take the NES with them when they're off to school.

Anyway, I do agree, college age is the best to start with.

We need to get RBI into the classrooms as well as into the homes.

It's scary to say, but a lot of children growing up today do not know how much power Tom Brookens has.  The children are our future.  The time to teach is now.

"Teach them well, and let them lead the way."

We need to show them all the beauty RBI possesses inside.

"Let the childrens laugh . . . "

I agree also with college elavating my RBI game.  I think that freshman year, the entire floor hated me and my buddy because of the loud volume of the game, and our excited screams of victory and harrowing defeat.

what school (or major) do you have that much time?

As a current college student I can say that regardless of what major or school you're attending you can make time for RBI.  Grades, attending class, and studying are highly overrated

you only live once, why waste your time studying

Northern Illinois University and Computer Science.  But there are a great number of schools and majors that would apply.  Most college kids have a ton of free time, especially compared to life after school....

I agree the younger kids dont repesct the game, and they dont understand what they are missing, thats why i started Aaron(Burnzky) young. He's been playing for years he loves it, I don't let him play any other Bullshit game like MLB or Triple play games.

Anyone play in Garden Grove, Anaheim or anywhere near SOCAL.

Need more players, me Joe and Aaron need some competition also.
