RBI baseball is mentioned in this Yahoo! article (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Santiago-Casilla-Jose-Ceda-and-the-best-walk-of?urn=mlb-wp15998) today, at the very end.
Crowding the plate and ripping off an inside pitch is far more effective imo
Shut up stupid.
no
I'm with Gantry here, but its situational.
The standing way far back technique works best when someone is trying to pitch around your best batter. You stand back, they try to sneak in a strike, and you crush the piss out of the ball.
With scrubs that will be pitched to crowding the plate is best.
The article points to another article (http://mlb.sbnation.com/2011/8/15/2364354/santiago-casilla-batting-video-jose-ceda-giants-marlins) on the same subject and it is worth the read. I especially like that he coins a new standard of measure: the 'Pedroia,' as in 'he stood a full Pedroia away from the plate.'

Awesome. Thanks for sharing, amazing that people still quote it isn't it? Maybe not as it is the greatest video game of all time.
