I have setup the forum to support Tapatalk (http://tapatalk.com), which is a handy mobile app for quick/easy use of Dee-Nee on phones.  Gives you most of the features of the full site with the speed and ease of use of the mobile site.  Much easier to use on a phone instead of using the browser. 

You do have to pay for Tapatalk, but if you use often on your phone (tablets have a bigger screen so the web version probably ain't too bad) it's worth every penny.

Trust me worth the $3 . After installing it, search for Dee-Nee and you should be able to join.  Try it out, or not...

I got a popup when I visited on my iPod last night telling me about Tapatalk - was going to ask you about it.  If I don't get the app, will I get that popup every time?

I got a popup too but immediately ignored it (it tried to take me to the android market).

It hasn't popped up since.

Gantry is clearly in business with Tapatalk.

I'd still recommend people with android/iphone and browse the forums often get tapatalk.  Makes phone browsing a little easier...

Note: I don't have any idea if this has anything to do with dee nee/gantry but if there is some sort of explanation someone can provide I would greatly appreciate it.  The board link/popup thing has never been there before.

That's what their website says but I have no info on their site about how it actually works.  Not sure if it piggybacks on the Tapatalk server additions or what.

I'm having this issue too, I don't see the connection either but it definitely started for me when I installed tapa and started using it.  Even if I only use the computer all day, it still goes to wrong place in the thread sometimes.

Probably has already been done, but make sure that you have downloaded the most recent updates from the App Store.  Sometimes, the app will have a glitch (increasingly so with the the latest IOS upgrade) if the most current and comparable version isn't loaded

So I used Tapatalk on the tablet I'm setting up and there WAS a fkn Amazon ad.   Guess I never saw because I have Adblock on my phone, my bad.  Found out that you have to turn that shit off in your dashboard, it's gone now.  Been making like $1-2 a month and not even knowing it!  Put my PayPal in there and if they pay me anything it's going to charity:water. 

Who the fuck was clicking on the amazon ad? 

Also - I think I disabled it bugging you to install Tapatalk if you go to the forums from a mobile browser.

Also upgraded SMF to 2.0.9 - looks like there's a 2.1 beta out now.  That may be the time to consider moving this to a new VM with CentOS7.  STAY TUNED

Turns out you had to make $5 in a month to get paid, which I didn't get.  So don't worry, I didn't sell out and no $$$ will be coming to me. 

2.1 beta seems to have some more mobile settings upgrades and a redone alert system.  Maybe I ditch Tapatalk when that happens, feel a bit sketched out about opting you into ads by default.  Who the fuck knows what they are doing. 

Middle of next year seems like a fair upgrade time - we'll be at a million posts, 2.1 should be coming out of beta, time for a new SSL cert with SHA-2, new OS with upgraded PHP and PFS for SSL, etc etc.

I do appreciate the WAP version but I also enjoy pictures, formatting, etc. I hate to pinch & zoom but that's my only alternative.

I go WAP, then switch to the full version on the rare occasion that I HAVE to see pictures or video before I get home.  Admittedly, I do miss out on some things because I forget to come back later, but that's OK with me.

I think I got the new version of Tapatalk installed, according to my dashboard ads are disabled.  Try the app out and let me know how it treats you.  If I can't get rid of ads via the apps and/or I can't find a way to remove their indexing of my site on tapatalk.com I'm nuking the fucker

I set the site as "do not promote" which I think will stop making those fucks index recent threads on my site.  My main site and list of topics goes right to the forums, but the previously indexed stuff is still there.  Seems only to be short term, will check in a couple weeks.

This kind of shit happens a lot. Duplicates the last two posts.

Also, fairly often it won't load a batch of recent posts (the amount is never the same) unless you jump to the top of the thread then back to the bottom and then scroll back up to where you left off. Hard to explain but it sucks.

That's the app's fault though.
