I threw a one-hitter the other day with only 4 K's. meaning a lot of groundballs and popouts. anyone ever have a 1hitter or no hitter with so few K's or fewer. it's basically luck on where the computer hits it.
I've thrown a perfect game against teh computer with 14 K's (me Blyleven vs. Boston) and I've thrown a 1 Hitter against the computer (me N Ryan vs. AL) with 0 strikeouts.
in my experience, if you just do straight pitch to the comp.... you'll never strike out the computer and therefore your pitcher won't lose a lot of speed, especially if you don't change speeds or curve the ball.
i just finished a game with ryan vs angels and it was a 3 hitter, he was still throwing 86mph changeups (no fastballs, right down the middle, the whole game), no k's.
On the weekend, I threw a perfect game with 5 K's...which seemed pretty damn good at the time. I was playing against SF and everything they hit was a weak ground ball or lazy fly ball.
