Your move, MLB network
Or ESPN can do it. 30 for 30
Yeah, they filmed at the Madison Tecmo Tourney...pretty cool stuff...
Can anyone find this in it's entirety on the web?

Your pro-Sabol agenda is getting really old, I can't wait for this election to be over so I don't have to deal with your bullshit anymore.

Finally watched, holy fuck this was great. Too bad the RBI Universe didn't have a better leader or else we could have had our own ESPN special. Quality...
I tried to light the fire under the RBI world. It just doesn't have the following...that said, this was awesome...I know and have played vs. most of these guys shown on the video. Mostly I just get my ass kicked.
Its more fun to talk about amputee porn than to play RBI.

Is it more or less fun than watching amputee porn?
Turd, it's because you aren't any good. After watching this, I have to play next year. The fact that it's here in town is a bonus. I'm not that good at Tecmo either but it seems worth the attendance just to see a bunch of people playing Tecmo. I agree with Gantry, too bad we don't have something like this for RBI.
Is it just me or does Mort seem developmentally challenged?
You're absolutely right. Last year I won my pool but lost in the first non-pool game...
If you like Tecmo, this tourney is a lot of fun, though it's more fun if you know some of the forum guys for obvious reasons. That said, it's really well run and it's a helluva lot of fun.
Mort has always seemed that way to me, but I think he's really just a big dork. He's been around the TSB scene for a long time.
I have dreamed of an RBI thing like this ever since the TSB one came bout...that said, I think COTUT is the closest thing, but that gets no media attention like the madison one does. They do a good job marketing that shit...
They sure do, that's an amazing turnout.
Maybe I should organize a Chicago mini-tourney at my house for 2013. Even if we can get 8 people it's a start...
Start small, and go from there...
I think the Tecmo tournament is Madison started small, I believe a few years ago they had it at the Plaza bar downtown and now it's at a large bowling alley so they have increased numbers over the years.
Yes it was at the Plaza for a few years running, maybe 3, and then exploded from a 64 man tourney to what we have today. They had to keep expanding due to national interest...
It's probably going to double in size after the ESPN thing too
I've been kicking around the idea of trying to get a tournament going in LA. Based on the mini-tourney we had a few years ago with minimal promotion, I think we could get 12-16 people for it.
Then do it
I'll promote it on the front page of dee-nee.com - that'll get you at least zero signups.
I almost won that LA tournament. ...If Richard would have been my only opponent.
