Title: 4-Homer game with Harold Baines!
Post by: Metal King on 01/18/13, 07:22:24 PM
I was playing the National All-Stars.  Won 20-7 in 7 innings.  He homered in the 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 7th innings.

The one in the 7th was a Wallzie.  Seemed too low to go through the wall, but it did.  The team only hit 8 homers, and he had 4.....

Baines is useless in the Fantasy RBI League (FRBI). I have numbers from 5 seasons in watch mode to back this up.

Had a nice streak of 8 home runs through 9 batters using Detroit, vs. ol' Fernando V.  Seven were consecutive.  Either Whitaker or Brookens fucked it up, I forget.  Then the NEXT guy hit a homer (Think it was Madlock or Sheridan subbing for the pitcher).

I think Detroit's still the best overall team, I mean just DOMINATING.  Games can end quickly.  You don't even have to substitute anyone (well Larry Herndon), but he'll go deep once in a (long) while.

Can't believe this game is now 26 years old (1987).
