Hey I was wondering if people still play online against each other on emulators, and if so, what emulator and server?
Also, has a pretty decent 2013 ROM set been released by anyone?
I'm MrOJ21 by the way. I couldn't remember my login info and I would research this all myself but I'm on my iPhone and sitting at a rest stop, ready to drive 5 hours.

Actually people do play, though not as much these days. That said advances in technology mean better online experience and no servers needed. Nestopia 1.39 with the kaillera p2p client is how it's done. People can upload games to my site at www.rbibaseball.us (http://www.rbibaseball.us), and there is even a league going on.
You'll have a difficult time finding online opponents outside of a few of us, but it's better than nothing.

My best friend is in Afghanistan. Is it a terrible connection with lag do you suppose if I'm playing him from Savannah, GA? I'm no expert, not even an intermediate at this stuff.
So many of the same people posting as 2005. God, I wish I wasn't such a little douche in high school, I coulda kept up with the RBI and dee-nee scene.

I would assume the connection would suck but then again I've never tried it. I've had crappy connections vs people from Chicago to Milwaukee and then smooth as butter from Milwaukee to California. Depends on the pipeline.
The other part that makes it a little tough is getting your computer setup to use nestopia is difficult for noobs. You have to mess with your router to get it jivin.
