Feast or famine.  I've been known to hit four bombs against Chubbs just with GC, but I've also been known to ground into four inning ending double plays.

For me, he's one of the most frustrating players in the game.  His numbers aren't fantastic, but he is a cleanup hitter and a HOFer.

The only thing GC is consistent at is getting the soul glo in that geri curl.

I'm somewhat on the same page as mclane.  I just don't want him to fuck anything up before Strawberry comes up.  Yet he is so money and he doesn't even know it with runners empty.  Underrated power...

So pretty much the same story with every righty in RBI for me...

I'd say he's almost like Nokes for me. In my youth, I had high hopes every time he came up. Now, I really don't expect much, so usually he exceeds expectations.

GC is the king when there are two men on and one out:  the 6-4-3 is his staple.

Exactly, his BA & SLG are about .200+ higher when there is no chance for a groundball-DP

Is that a bash on nokes? i love nokes. unfortunately for him the evans always empties the bases before he comes up. I love the entire detroit offense, except the pitcher.

In curve, Carter is by far the biggest threat on the team 'cause most pitchers are right (you wanna be the same hand as the pitcher)...Strawberry is usually the guy that can easily go yard, but is less likely if you pitch to him correctly.

In fact, we usually walk Carter and roll the dice with Strawberry (only if pitching with a righty).

Wow, I have so much to learn about curve.  This would never, and I repeat NEVER happen in straight pitch....

In this years CUTOUT, in game 3 of a best of 3 I was in control of the game up maybe 3-1, when I gave up a 2 out Grand Slam to Carter, went on to lose 6-5, would have put me into the top 8.  Stupid pitch.

Man the Mets must be clutch.  JoeD also lost to the Mets in a deciding game of the COTUT, a late dinger to I'm Keith Hernandez to lose 1-0 to the defending champ.  Remember that one Joe?  Just in case you haven't thought about it lately...

I seem to only have good fortune w/ him when it doesn't matter.  He's never been clutch for me.

The only redeeming quality Gary Carter has is that i get to say "MAN PERM" in a slow, deep voice when he comes to the plate.

Chubbs and I always chant "GC, GC, GC" when he comes us.  Man perm definitely works as well.

We call it the battle of the Man Perms when they face each other.
