This may be the first lengthy documentary about the RBI Baseball experience in America. "Summer Of Rib" - A nostalgic look back at the summer of 1989 through the broadcast tapes of the RBI Baseball League on Dolores Drive in Pittsburgh. Not sure how entertaining this is for the masses but it is out there. The Hoop Dreams of RBI Baseball - over 3 hours of footage from the 1989 tapes.
There is short documentary and a full chronicle of the season. RBI games sprinkled in with MLB footage from the RBI Era. A nostalgia trip from the heyday of the Nintendo era. A baseball story from back in the day.
All of the episodes are at RBI25 on youtube - Summer of Rib.
That's awesome, how much footage do you have to work with?
This looks pretty cool.
Agreed. Good stuff.
Marino jersey around 5:25. Awesome.
Can't wait to see more footage. #Mullets

Gantry - It is good to be on the the site and on the boards. Hopefully I can work my way up to some better levels on posting. I have a bunch of RBI season footage on tapes from 1989-1993. I took the first season of tapes and made a project out of it. It is a homemade documentary. Gathered all the major league footage from RBI era I could find and tried to intersperse that with the games. There are 10 parts to the season starting with day 1.

I also saw this upcoming documentary of the history of video games. Peter Lipson (programmer for RBI Baseball) was interviewed and his picture was taken recently with the makers of the documentary. This man is a legend!
