On ESPN2 right now, about the '89 WS and the earthquake featuring interviews with lots of RBIers (Will Clark, Canseco, etc) great footage of Will Clark breaking up a double play on Ozzie Smith and getting into a brawl with Smith and Oquendo
Meant to set the dvr for this one, will have to look for the replays
Most of the 30 for 30s are really well done, aren't they?
I agree the 30 for 30 movies are done well. All of them are available on Netflix except for the ones that came out this week and last week. These are my favorite...so far.
1. The Two Escobars
2. Survive and Advance
3. Fernando Nation
Watched most of the Day the Series Stopped. It was pretty solid - especially the part about a stadium employee who was up on one of the giant light towers when the earthquake hit and had to hang on for his life as the thing went swaying halfway over the bowl of the stadium.
I remember rushing home from the library to watch the game - I got home a couple of minutes before first pitch was scheduled, but they were showing "Roseanne" for some reason. My mom mentioned there was an earthquake so it had knocked the game off of the air - she had felt it (we were 180 miles from SF) but I hadn't since I was on my bike when it hit. It wasn't until they got back on the air that it became obvious that something big was going down.
I was watching the series and kind of remember it. Happened before the game actually started right?
I watched the BC gambling one today. Lots of pieces of shit involved there.
You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?
Whoa, ShitPaw sighting
I remember Al Michael's was Live on air when it hit and he freaked out. Understandably, his broadcast booth was way up high. I watched most of that show and didn't see that scene. Was hoping to see it. Stupid question, why do they call it 30 for 30?
I think when it first came on, it was 30 movies done during the 30th anniversary of ESPN.

Yep - I remember it happening during the pregame show.
