Some dudes of interest from RBI and forum favorites according to the most prestigious summer baseball league:
.
Where the fuck is freddie prinze jr goddammit

Friend of mine here in town played for the Marlins in 2006-2007. Went to school at Texas A&M and got a little bit of attention from major league teams. He got in the CCL, led the league in hitting, and was on the fast track. 2001 CCBL Batting Champion, Eric Reed.
I think he would have made it as an 80s baseball player. He was fast as greased lightening, had a great glove in CF, but struggled to figure out the strike zone at the major league level.
So dumb question, what is the Cape Cod League? A minor league or something independent?
as I understand it, it's a summer league for college players
What would my OPS have been had I attended at 19?
Cape Cod League players are outfitted exclusively in Vineyard Vines uniforms. The Chatham Fishbelters are defending champs
Coastie League Play
Gantry, your OPS would have been .321 (adjusted for era 20 yrs ago.)
The CCL is the most prestigious, and I'm sure, most historic college wood bat league. The guys are typically entering into their Senior season and the league and others like them provide scouts a chance to see the hitters and pitchers deal with wood bats. The CCL is basically an all star league of college players.

Is there a team called the Vineyard Vines?
There should be. It would help with the sponsorships. That's what I was getting at with this :
