I agree.  When they showed him I thought, "Christ, he's let himself go."

Guy makes $40-$50 million in his career, not to mention the managing gigs.  He's the Cubs ambassador nowdays.  That has to pay well enough to afford a new hat, a shave, and a clean shirt.

He seems like the kind of guy that would be given the beer ahead of more deserving people in line. He knew the beer wouldn't be that cold or good, but he would just give up and pour the beer down the sink and decide that beer isn't for him anymore halfway through the can

Truer words. . . . . but who's more of a fool?  The fool who pours the beer down the sink or
fool who gives him the beer in the first place?

Looking back, he should have kept drinking o'douls at whatever bar would allow him and call it a career.

In that pic he looks like a guy who had that successful hairlip surgery.

He looks like he doesn't give a fuck. . . . about anything

Or maybe he's just bitter that Dave Martinez railed his wife and will be on the field when the Cubs win the World Series.   Too harsh?

Fantastic, I knew there was a reason he was my favorite Cub, this justifies it.
